Today, I found out that the last of my super feminist "I'm never getting tied to a man" college friends got engaged. Apparently, I should have tried that tactic, as my current partner in life is my goldfish. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Moving on
Today, I saw yet another dear friend from uni get married, living the good life in their new home. Here am I in my 30s, with no love life, and feeling like that's never going to be for me. FML
Today, I found that my "lesbian" best friend and roommate is now dating the guy I've been trying to get a date with for weeks. FML
Fate
Today, I found out that my ex-girlfriend got engaged to a coworker. I got her the job. FML
Left behind
Today, the last of my college friends is getting married and now I'm the last single one. Don't worry though, if one ever gets a divorce we can hang out again. FML
It's a marathon, not a sprint
Today, I found out that the last girl from my graduating high school class is engaged to her boyfriend. I'm now the only guy from high school who's still single and I'm not even 30 yet. FML
Today, I got engaged. My family is already placing bets on how long it will take for my fiancée to "wise up and ditch" me. FML
Today, I found out that my engagement ring was actually my husband's ex-fiancée's. FML
Today, my best friend got engaged to the guy she's been seeing for five years. He also happens to be the man I've been in love with for eight. As she was giving me the details, she nonchalantly gave me her reason for accepting the proposal: "Why the hell not, there's always divorce." FML
Follow your dreams
Today, inspired by my own relationship, I encouraged my best friend to go after the guy she likes. She did, and I'm now single. FML
Today, I excitedly showed my new roommate my pet fish. She then told me about how she purposely starved her last fish to see how long it would take before they started eating each other before starving to death. FML

If that's what you think feminism is about, damn.

I think femism is the most misunderstood term in the world. What part of "equality for all genders" is so hard to understand?

All the tiny little things feminists complain about that they experience in their own country may seem insignificant compared to the right to vote or not get married off when you're 13, but I think these little injustices are worth making a fuss about, society can always be improved, I don't want to live in one that's stagnating and complacent. It's like how many people are now surviving cancer, does that mean we should stop researching?

Seems like you are the last one left to carry the torch.

Your friends may have had the right idea, not in the "I'm not ever going to be with a man" way, but that they'd never be dependent on a man. So, yes, perhaps try it. Even if you don't end up with someone because of it, being completely independent and financially secure is a wonderful feeling.

If their reputation for short memories turns out to be right after all, I expect your goldfish makes the perfect life partner. Lucky you!

People who speak in absolutes about their future are almost never right. Keep yourself open to all possibilities while working on yourself to be strong and independent. The right guys will want you for that.

for all of you saying that op doesnt know anything about feminism, some feminists are great people and others are complete nutheads. In this case i think we're dealing with the nuthead femnazi rather than the sane feminists.

So, you're single, OP? *dabs on some 'Sex Panther'* [60% of the time it works 100% of the time]
