Today, I found out that my girlfriend of one week is suicidal and crazy about me. She showed me that she'd carved her old boyfriend's name in her arm, and she threatened suicide if I ever left her. FML

Today, the girl I've been seeing for just over a week casually let me know that she'll slash her wrists if I ever leave her. FML
Today, my girlfriend of 3 weeks gave me an ultimatum: marry her, or she kills herself. FML
Today, my girlfriend's mom pulled me aside and started telling me about how her daughter was extremely depressed and suicidal before she met me, and how happy her family is because of me. I was planning on breaking up with her within the next week. FML
Today, my girlfriend of three weeks basically threatened to kill herself if I don't start thinking about having a child with her soon. FML
Today, I caught my girlfriend cheating on me. Now she's threatening to kill herself if I don't forgive her. FML
Today, the girl I've been seeing for less than a week started raging and ended up threatening me with a knife, after I shot down her idea of getting married next month. FML
Today, I had a great time with a girl I liked. I asked her out and she said yes. She also said she cuts herself and if I ever broke up with her, I'll be responsible for her death. FML
Today, after a week of intense fighting, my girlfriend of 4 years and I hung out. She told me she loved me, and I pointed out that last week she said she was going to dump me. Without missing a beat, she replied, "Only to scare you into submission." FML
Today, I was about to break up with my psycho girlfriend. As I sat her down, she told me she wanted to show me something. She then took off her shirt to reveal my name tattooed across her chest. FML
Today, my girlfriend dumped me for another guy. Last week, she wrote sweet things like "Love you forever" and "Light of my life" on my arm cast. I have to wait two more weeks until it's taken off. FML

wow. pretty much everyone who has posted any comments on here are jerks. you're talking about a REAL PERSON. i'll agree she's psychotic sounding but who the hell are any of you to say "dump her!" or "lets make her prove her depression!" obviously if she carved her last bf's name in her arm she has attachment issues and is overly emotional and needs help. you all need to quit being so insensitive. OP: you need to break it off with her but you should also definitely at least invest in setting up someone that she can attach herself to afterwards who is TRAINED to handle these situations. don't stay because you feel obligated, you deserve true love but don't be cruel either or you'll carry it with you for the rest of your life, guaranteed. i don't care what people say otherwise, you will never be rid of her memory if you do it cruelly.

she didn't say anything if you were with another girl. she'll def put out all the time and you can get whatever you want. keep her on a short leash. I bet she likes that. but she's still alive so she didn't kill herself when her last boyfriend left unless he killed himself first. or worse, she killed him

Did any of you think maybe she is really just in need of someone to call her out on her problems and talk to her. Breaking up with her and leaving her solves nothing. You either get to live with the "guilt" or trauma of having a girl kill themselves over you or you leave her for the next person to clean up. And either way, the new boyfriend or the girl will still have problems. You wanted to date her so there is something about her you life. Get her some help and then let her go gently. She needs someone to be there for her, it might not be you, but don't just leave her to be suicidal.

OP, get the **** out of there. She needs help, find someone who can give it to her then run, run and never look back. If she does kill herself, and I honestly hope she doesn't, don't blame yourself, there's always an underlying problem that leads to these sorts of issues.
