Today, I found out that my best friend and the guy I had a crush on for 2 years are getting married. The worst part is that they've been dating for 2 years in secret, and just came out about it now. I've been telling her for 2 years how much I like him, and she's encouraged me the whole time. FML

Today, it was my best friend's wedding. The night ended with her in tears outside her hotel suite, where she confessed that she has a serious crush on me. I have a serious crush on her too. We're both straight women. I'm really confused. FML

You had a crush on someone for two years and neglected to tell that person. Relationships don't just combust out of thin air, the least you need to do is talk to the other person. Maybe your friend was too afraid to tell you and wanted him to tell you and then "afterwards" him and your friend could "hook up" Next time you have a crush, try to atleast talk to the person once every 2 years.

I'm in a similar situation. Not exactly the same, but similar. I don't have a **** blocking friend in mine. Be mature about it and definitely realize this chick is not and was not your friend. Dwelling on it will only make you more bitter.

Hmm, this is an interesting situation. Here is my opinion on this. I think your friend is 1) either a complete bitch 2) they weren't telling you because you are crazy. Either way it doesn't sound like you two are healthy together. It doesn't seem like you are violent, but if you have a terrible temper, are prone to stalking, or are prone to pretend suicide to get your way, then perhaps that is why they didn't tell you. Also because you didn't say anything or do anything, it seems, besides hinting, then you probably deserved this, just a little. Had you pursued him and had him turn you down by him telling you "Your friend so and so and I are dating" then you probably didn't know because you didn't think to ask.

What #17 said. YDI, for being a wuss after two years. I don't think your friend was a complete bitch. You can't help who you fall for right? What I didn't like about your friend was that she should have told you sooner. However, her still trying to persuade you and encourage you was like what #17 said, maybe she wanted you to step up so that she can back down. But you never took the initiative to. In the end, it is still your fault. 2 years is a freaking long time.
