Today, I found my concert tickets that I've been trying to find for the last 2 weeks in my mom's closet. When I asked why she had them, she said she felt the concert was inappropriate for me so she hid them. I'm 20. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my son surprised me on my birthday with tickets to a concert I really wanted to see. I was excited, especially since I planned to buy them but couldn't due to the fact it was too expensive. I was ecstatic, until I found out he'd stolen my credit card to buy them. FML
Today, my boyfriend bought me Kings of Leon tickets for my birthday. Since he thought I was irresponsible, he gave the tickets to his mum so I wouldn't lose them. The show is today, and we can't find the tickets. FML
Today, I found out that my mom goes through my garbage. I'm 25 and don't live with her. FML
Technically, that's stealing
Today, I told my mom about the $50 I'd hidden in case of an emergency, and how I couldn't find it. She said she'd borrowed it last week. FML
Blackout drunk
Today, I left a concert with my drunk mother who had spilled beer all over my shirt. I drove her home and she slept it off. Later, my mom "found" my shirt in the laundry and grounded me for drinking behind her back. She won't believe me that it was her. FML
Today, I found out my mom can't wait until I turn 18, so she can kick me out and turn my room into a huge closet for all her clothes. FML
Today, I got on a two hour train ride to go to a concert. I had been so caught up in handling the train tickets that halfway to the concert, I realized I had left the concert tickets on my dresser. FML
Today, I gave my ex-girlfriend two concert tickets to show her I still care about her and want to win her back. She sold them. FML
Today, my dad was given 2 VIP tickets to see my favourite band in concert next week. You can now find them on eBay. FML
Breaking news
Today, I was helping my mom look for some money she'd misplaced. At my wit's end, I flipped through her diary, in case she'd hidden it between the pages as she has before. Didn't find the money, but I did find out she might well be cheating on my dad. FML

Dude, you all need to chill the **** out. With the economy in the state that it's in, it's hard for people to afford shit, and living on your own is expensive. A lot of people seem to be unable to afford moving out these days. Besides, s/he might live in a city with a high cost of living, which would make it even worse.

Despite popular belief, most of you will live at home when you're 20. You act like 2 years time of being an adult is enough to get a steady well paying job that's able to support all your needs. Please... It's not all that pathetic. How many of you going to a college far from home are actually paying for all their boarding without any financial help from your parents?

Easy solution: Move out of mummy's house. I moved out not so long ago when I was 18 and had no financial help from parents after moving out, so save the sob stories about how hard it is to move out.

Well... I mean, if you had your own place then this wouldn't happen? So this is a FAIL sir. - S.

People on this site are so damn critical. It is not that big of a deal to live at home at 20 years of age. And living at home or not, the mother had no right to steal the tickets. She could have had the decency to at least talk to OP about it... if she REALLY didn't want you to go OP could have ebayed that shit and not lost out on the money (I moderated this one... it was $300). Since when does living with your parents mean you don't deserve some respect?

There's no ******* law that states once you turn 18, you HAVE to move out. Just because y'all are 18, 19, 20, 21, living in apartments, doesnt mean EVERYONE should.

Well, if it was a Jonas Brothers or Miley Cyrus concert, then your mother did you a favor, because it would be entirely inappropriate for you to risk your reputation by seeing such a crappy concert.
