Today, I found a thong at my boyfriend's house. When I confronted him about it, he panicked and claimed it was his mom's. Right. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I found a pair of women's underwear in the laundry that wasn't mine. I confronted my boyfriend about it. They were his. FML
Today, I was at my boyfriend's apartment, when I came across a lacy black thong in the laundry. When confronted, he swore it was his. I don't know what's worse, the possibility that another woman left it there, or the idea that my boyfriend owns and wears women's lingerie. FML
Today, while at my boyfriend's house waiting for him to shower, his mother slams a pair of underwear on the table and tells me that if she ever finds something like that in her son's room again, she is forbidding him from seeing me. The underwear isn't mine. FML
Today, I decided to play a joke on my boyfriend and planned to pretend that I found a thong in his gym bag. When he came home, I "confronted" him. After struggling through putting on my best face, he, unexpectedly confessed: "Look, babe, I'm sorry. It meant nothing." FML
Today, I found out that my boyfriend owns and wears more thongs than I do. FML
Today, my boyfriend sent me a picture. In the mirror I could see a bra and thong sitting on his bed. They weren't mine. FML
This is fine
Today, I walked into the house I share with my boyfriend and found his mum sashaying up and down the hall. When she saw me, she exclaimed, "Oh, you've got to tell me where you get your underwear from!" Yep, she was wearing my panties. Neither she nor her son could see why I would be upset by that. FML
Today, my boyfriend's parents found out we had a sleepover while they were on vacation. His dog had retrieved the underwear I had unknowingly left and brought them to his mom. FML
Today, I found out that my ex-boyfriend stole a pair of my underwear, and still wears them to this day. FML
Judge Judy much?
Today, I found some thigh high socks in my boyfriend's drawer. Furious, I confronted him. He confessed they were his and put them on to show me they fit. I had to dump him, it was just too weird. FML

If true, that's more troubling than if it belonged to another girlfriend; brings new meaning to the term 'Mama's boy'

Maybe his mother is bringing him provisions that he can't afford for some reason, potentially because of house payments.

What if... he lives in his mother's house?

if he doesn't live with his mom I cannot see how that leaves him any better off, if anything that's just creepier...

What if his mom lives far away and had come into town to visit him? It's not that unreasonable that she might spend the night, and it's easy to accidentally leave something like that behind if you're careless. It's a bit awkward for everyone, But I don't think it would make him creepy.

She could also live close by and do his laundry and hers got mixed in. Would make it significantly less creepy, but doesn't make him any better boyfriend material.

Wow that's disturbing if you think about it.

Judging from your title it looks like you've already made the right choice here. Good for you.

If miraculously, he wasn't lying, I would be very disturbed any time I heard, "I love you mom!" for quite a while. Hell, just thinking about this makes me not want to hear anyone use that line for a while.

Ungrateful child, call your mom and tell her you love her

If there was panicking involved he was most likely lying. Leaving you two options, it's another girls thong... or it's secretly his and he has a secret life you don't know about.

That's worse than blurting out it was your sister's! Oedipus, schmoedipus! Just as long as he loves his mother.
