Today, my boss threw a party for everyone in the office who has a birthday in September. Everyone got a cake with their names on it except me. My birthday is today. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Happy Birthday
Today, it's my birthday. My boss's birthday is 5 days away. Instead of wishing me happy birthday, the staff decided to surprise my boss with an early gift. We also had to take a picture of him with everyone. I work at another branch alone, and had to post the picture to social media. Happy Birthday to me, I guess. FML
Today, it's my birthday. At my workplace, we always get a cake for whoever's birthday it is. They somehow forgot about me. I've been working there for a year, and my grandparents and my dad own the restaurant I work at. FML
Today, it's my birthday and I had to work. My boss wished me a happy birthday, and then told me I was fired. FML
Surprise!
Today, it was my birthday. Normally, the little office I work in throws a big party for every employee on their special day, but nothing was done for me, not even a "Happy Birthday" came my way. I didn't want to be rude, so I stayed silent. They didn't do anything because I was getting laid off. FML
Thanks guys
Today, it was my co-worker's birthday but she told me not to mention it. Feeling bad for her, I went out to buy her a card, a present, and even a small cake. It turns out that there was actually a party during our lunch break, and I was the only one in our office not invited. FML
Today, I celebrated my birthday with my friend who has the same birthday by going out to dinner with a bunch of our friends. The waiter brought out a cake for my friend but not for me. No one noticed my exclusion. I sang happy birthday on my birthday. FML
It's the thought that counts
Today, I turned 29. To celebrate, my office got me a cake that read "Happy 38th!!" The "theme" of the "party" was 'Not a day over 35!' I waited all day for someone to tell me it was all a prank, but nobody did. I spent my lunch hour crying in my car. Happy birthday to me. FML
Hi Chris!
Today, my coworkers surprised me with a birthday cake. It was really sweet, until I realized it was for another “Chris” who works in accounting. They only noticed after I blew out the candles. FML
Clout chasing
Today, I turned 22. Instead of cutting my own cake, I stood by and smiled at a friend's belated birthday party. Her birthday was actually two months ago, but she decided to have her party on my birthday. No one remembered mine but everyone got her beautiful gifts. FML
Pulled a sneaky on you
Today, I found out that my work threw me a birthday party alongside my coworker’s birthday. Said coworker spread a rumor, telling everyone that I wanted each person to buy me flowers and cake. Everyone thought that I was a weirdo for asking for those things from them. I wasn't at work today. FML

Hopefully your boss just forgot and didn't intentionally exclude you.

They probably all had your fired notes in them anyways, and who would want that.

It must be an honest mistake by the boss

It's ok. Everyone usually gets a birthday card signed by employees on their birthday or close to it. Mine was forgotten this year. I also found an expired cupcake in the fridge in Late August. My birthday was June. It happens.

sorry to hear that OP, I don't believe you were excluded on purpose, tell HR when your birthday is, next year you will be in on the fun ;)

HR knows every employee's birthday. It's part of what they do.

It's pretty obvious, isn't it? 9 - 6 = 3. 3 is the number of points in a triangle. The illuminati symbol is a triangle. Obviously your boss thought you are actually a member of the illuminati and didn't want to take part in furthering your regime.

Obviously, your boss is grooming you to succeed him after he retires. He's killing off the rest of the office with obesity and diabetes. You should feel fortunate you're on the good side of a cereal killer.

wouldn't he be a cake killer?
