Today, my boyfriend wanted to get into an open relationship. He has no romantic feelings for me anymore, but he didn't want to separate from my cat. FML
Today, I asked my boyfriend what he thinks about long term relationships. He said, "Our relationship is kinda like having a dog. Chances are, your dog is going to die pretty quickly, before you do. Dogs and humans just aren't meant to be together forever." He compared me to a dying dog. FML
Today, my boyfriend of almost a year and a half broke up with me when he decided he wasn't in love with me anymore. We gave our stuff back, he was joking and happy the whole time until I told him I was taking back my cat. At that point he burst into tears. FML
Today, I realised that I have a better relationship with my cat than I do with my boyfriend. FML
Today, I finally had a date, my first one in well over a year. Everything was going good, until my date asked, "Do you like cats or dogs better?" When I responded cats, my date promptly got up and left, saying, "This isn't meant to be." FML
Today, my boyfriend of 7 years told me he isn’t sure if he wants to marry me, despite us talking for years about it. He’s worried about what will happen to our cats if we were to ever get divorced. FML
Today, my cat still loves my boyfriend more than me. I spent around 6 months convincing my boyfriend to get a cat. FML
Today, after losing his job, I reassured my boyfriend by telling him I'd rather be with him living in a cardboard box than to be without him. He responded by telling me he'd rather be dead. FML
Today, my boyfriend bought us three kittens. Today, I also discovered that I am allergic to cats. My boyfriend broke up with me because he wanted the cats more than me. FML
Today, my boyfriend of three years told me he isn't sure about me anymore. He said he saw a quote on Facebook that a guy can be with a girl for 10 years, then leave, and be with a girl for one and marry that girl. Meanwhile, I've been planning on the rest of my life with him in my head. FML

You already know what to do, you're just waiting on somebody to say it. He doesn't value relationships, but you do. It's not going to work out in the long run because you can't change him. It's better to get out sooner rather than later.

I Kinda do agree with the top comments. That was not smart of him. There could be an off chance he was trying to see how you feel about furthering the relationship. But if it's your cat, if you leave him, take the damn cat!!

One thing I've learned about men in all my years of dating. If they say they feel that way, they ACTUALLY FEEL THAT WAY. It's not that he's grumpy. It's not that he's scared. It's not for any other reason. Sorry, but if you want a relationship that's going to the next level, it won't be with this dude. Dump him.

Thank you. This actually makes me feel better about this person who thought relationship (or relationship with me, doesn't matter) didn't look necessary nor he cares and I thought it was me but now I'm back in my old relationship with the man who actually cares so... I know it wasn't me now. I've been looking for some resolution so thanks you have no idea how this comment means to me.
