Today, I finally paid off the massive debt on my credit card. I came home only to find that almost everything I owned had been repossessed an hour before I paid the debt. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Cough up
Today, I learned I have over $10,000 in debt, despite never owning a credit card. Apparently, my ex-roommate had been replying to the credit card offers I was receiving in the mail. That also explains my missing driver's license a few months back. FML
Today, I went to the store to buy some groceries. Several hours later I realize that I can't find my wallet. After looking all over my house and then the store parking lot, I had my credit cards cancelled. On the drive home, I feel something under me. It was my wallet. FML
Today, I found out that my Mom had taken out a loan out on my car from the repo man taking my car away. FML
Today, I found out that my parents are 28,000 dollars in debt and that my bank account has $27.17 in it. They took my money to help pay their debt. FML
Today, I came home to found all of my belongings out on the street. My roommate, who is also my brother, apparantly neglected to pay his part of the rent, and we got evicted. FML
Today, getting home from a long day at work, I checked the mail and saw three envelopes from the IRS. Apparently I now owe over $4,000. I only have $2 in my bank account. FML
Repo Man
Today, I rented a car via an app for a family function. Turns out it was in default and was repossessed while I was there. I had to ride three hours back home with my girlfriend's dad, who probably thinks I don't pay my bills. FML
Trust
Today, I had to dump my girlfriend because of tons of trust issues that kept reappearing. Shortly afterwards, my credit card disappeared and I got to experience my first identity theft. All within 24 hours. FML
Today, while paying for groceries, I opened my wallet to find that all my cash had been exchanged for Monopoly money. FML
Boozehound
Today, I found out my credit card was maxed out to the penny, all thanks to purchases made on an online wine store. Apparently my mother was thirsty enough to steal from her own son. FML

I think this post is fake. If you legit paid it all they would have told you that some of your things were repoed. If you did really pay off the debt go to the credit companies and demand your stuff back since you paid your debt.

See, that's why I don't use my credit card. I use my debit card instead, because I know how much money is in my account instead of trying to remember how much my limit is on my debit card. I only use it if I don't have enough money in my account for whatever I'm buying....like the new laptop I had to buy 2 months ago. I'm still paying off that bill, but it's not like I'm gonna go in debt because of it. Don't use credit cards....they only cause problems.

College is different here, we have a government funded loans scheme, so its really quite cheap and affordable to obtain a tertiary education. They would never reposess your stuff, they just take repayments out of you taxes you pay at the end of the financial year, and only when you start earning an amount of 30,000 or more.

I can't believe the mods haven't removed this one yet for being such an obvious fake.

WTF? Fake. If you had MASSIVE debt, you wouldn't save up your money and pay everything at once! That would be economical suicide, since the interest from the debt would keep on rising and rising and at the end you'd have to pay like twice as much as you would have from paying in small transactions.

Again she could of had massive debt and her bills *that were being paid on the card* weren't getting paid so they came and repossessed the items. I think her FML just had to have been worded better.

I think this one, like most others, is pure fantasy.

This is definitely bullshit. They cannot repossess anything you buy on a credit card, like Visa or Mastercard, but they wreck the hell out of your credit forever. But as for store cards, I do not know, I have never seen anyone get their stuff repoed from a store card, and I know a lot of people with bad credit.
