Today, I found out that my Mom had taken out a loan out on my car from the repo man taking my car away. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I found out that the $200 a week I was paying my dad for my car insurance and payment, wasn't actually paying my insurance and car payment. How did I find out he wasn't paying? Repo man took my car. FML
Remember the promise you made
Today, my mom decided to go against every promise she's made to everyone once again and left us in financial ruin. How? She took advantage of my kindness, and didn't pay any of the money she owes me for driving my car, and for so much more. I'm more than $2,000 in debt now. FML
Today, I found out I'm on wage garnishment because my mother, who took out a student loan for me back in '05, didn't pay off the $2015 owed when she said she would. I got screwed over financially because of her. FML
Today, I found out my mom took around $2,500 from my savings account to pay off my sister's college tuition. She recently flunked out of her studies and won't be returning to college anyway. FML
Today, I just bought a car with all of my own money. Then, when I brought it home my dad informed me that my mom will be driving it to work every day. FML
Piggy banked
Today, I discovered my own mother has been stealing money from me for months when I opened my savings box to find it empty. FML
Today, I finally paid off the massive debt on my credit card. I came home only to find that almost everything I owned had been repossessed an hour before I paid the debt. FML
Today, I let my dad borrow my car. I found out a few hours later that he has had a suspended license for three years. How did I find out? He got pulled over and arrested. My car was also impounded. I'm a college student barely making it as it is. Guess who can't afford the impound fees? FML
Narcissistic parents FTW
Today, I told my mom I wasn't doing very good mentally and I was looking for some support. She decided to remind me of all of the things I still haven't paid her back for. I'm now an unpaid loan, not her daughter. FML
Today, my mom cleaned out my bank account, saying my "no-good dad" owes her child support and that she'll get it one way or another. FML

Ouch. That's so shitty. I heard of this woman who has a spending problem that took out a bunch of credit card applications in her child's name. Her kid is TWO. Great parenting, huh?

the repo man told him that his mom has a loan on it (which she obviously didn't pay) OP: that sucks man..

what's with 17 year olds thinking its "their" car if its their parents car? you probably didn't even pay insurance on it or anything, yet think its "yours"...

I'm 19 and have been paying car insurance since I was 16. Stop being such a judgmental prick. You don't know if the OP paid for the car or anything else.

she ****** the repo guy

It obviously isn't "his" car, otherwise she wouldn't have been able to take a loan out on it.

Pfft. Many people pay insurance on their cars. I'm 18, just got a fairly new car and I'm paying for the gas, insurance AND the payments on it. Not every teenager is a spoiled little prick that has their parents pay for everything. How do you know this person is 17 anyway?

@ 40/19 Even if you pay for it, it's your parent's untill you're 18.

@40 a lot of parents co-sign on cars so the kid can buy a nice one when they have no credit even if they are over 18 so it could be his car but his moms name may be on it hence she can take out a loan

your mom borrowed money from the repo man to get the car, didn't make payments and now the repo man is taking the car? wow, that kind of sucks for you

no... the OP found out that his mom had taken out a loan on their car when the repo man showed up to take his car... its confusingly worded the mom didn't take out the loan from the repo man

IS that even legal? I mean I know she is your mom, but its still YOUR car...seems like that company screwed up somewhere a long the line....unless she has partial ownership for some reason you should be able to get it back....still FYL

well...that might mean that he's under eighteen. in which case, it's not legally his.

your a dipshit, you can have a title in your name if your 3 months old. its the only thing your parents dont have rights to.

I weep for the English language.

that's just awful. how can your parent expect you to honest with them when they don't even tell you they took a loan out on your car? and no warning from her when she defaults on the loan so you have no way of preventing your car from being repo'd? I'm sorry and I hope you can get your car back.

#5, it's not neccesarily his car, for example, I'm 19 but the car's title is under my mom's name. still, obviously it's not right to do what she did to her kid.

Your mother is a ****. You should do her justice by a swift **** punt.

You. Are. Dense. He said he didn't know about the loan until his car was gone. Definitely not his fault that his mom screwed him over

Can she even do that? I mean, it's your car and unless its in her name I don't think it's valid. I'd go to court.
