Today, I finally gave away all of the stuffed animals that I've been hoarding for years. Proud, I told my family. They congratulated me by buying me stuffed animals. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, my dog showed me her latest kill. Too bad it was the stuffed animals my dead grandmother had given me as a child that had a lot of sentimental value to me. FML
Sentimental value
Today, my husband convinced me to donate all the sentimental items around our house, like the kids' old toys. Now I feel absolutely gutted, like we gave away tons of our family history, but everyone else is so happy that things are less cluttered, so I just play along. I feel so empty. FML
Cheers
Today, while at Six Flags my boyfriend won a huge stuffed animal for me. After a whole day of carrying it around, when he dropped me off he told me that he wants the stuffed animal back. He just didn't want to carry it around all day. FML
Have fun!
Today, I bought my niece a huge stuffed teddy bear for her birthday because I wanted to be the cool aunt/uncle. She hugged it, smiled, and then immediately hugged the gift bag instead, because apparently it made a "funny" crinkly noise. I have officially been defeated by packaging. FML
Today, I got married. I received a beautifully wrapped gift from my dad. I was full of excitement until I opened it and found two taxidermied rabbits. The ones I had when I was in the fifth grade. FML
Today, a tarantula joined my stuffed animal collection in its drawer. It, unfortunately, wasn't stuffed. FML
Oh come on!
Today, I found an old toy that I gave to my daughter several years ago. It was still unopened, and long forgotten, so I decided to re-gift it to one of my friend's children. My daughter immediately remembered her "favorite" toy and started crying inconsolably. FML
Bartering
Today, my 8 year-old niece gave me back a Fluttershy plush I gifted her 4 years ago. When I told her it was a gift from the heart, she insisted on exchanging it for something of equal value. FML
Today, my daughter had a meltdown when I told her I donated some of her old toys to Goodwill. It turns out Toy Story has taught her that toys have feelings and that she has a meaningful relationship with them. She's in her teens. FML
Today, I was at work when my mother called. She gave me great news that she had finally cleaned out my room and all those "old and useless" books that I had in there. Those "useless" books that she had just trashed were all antiques and worth about $500 each. There were 27 books in there. FML

Keep them if they have sentimental value. I kept mine and I'm a guy.

Maybe they wanted you to keep it?

Or maybe it was just because they thought it'd be funny?

Or maybe OP's family are spies who have to protect her from immediate and immense danger. In the stuffed animals are cameras, allowing the family to keep a close and careful watch on her

Maybe they were testing her to see how committed she was to being animal- free

Even if they didn't, it's just so hard to throw away a perfectly good cute & fluffy teddy bear holding a fuzzy heart that says "I love you". Something about them just makes them hard to get rid of. If it would make you any easier, you could take them to kids in hospitals or at a orphanage. They wouldn't be going to waste & you'll be making a sad little boy or girl very happy. :)

I have 2 that I like to hug when I'm depressed which is often. It makes everything a little better.

I still have the first two stuffed toys I've had since I was a day old. I'm 19 and still call them by the names I gave them, Pengy and Poley. You can guess what they are.

I still have mine, because they're from friends from when i moved, and one with the England crest named rooney from my grandparents from when i had an operation when I was little.

Start a "business" selling gifted stuffed animals on eBay.

Better than starting a drug dealing business.

It's a trap

Well you did it once. Should be easier giving this batch away considering the little to no sentiment value.

I think you haven't quite understood how karma works...

That word. I don't think it means what you think it means.

WIC offices give toys to kids when they come in, and trust me, it makes the mom feel awesome when she can't afford to buy toys.

I should totally suggest that to the WIC office here. Sounds like a great idea.

Nothing is wrong with keeping some OP, just don't hoard like you did the last bunch(:
