Today, I finally finished downloading a 60GB TV series after two weeks of waiting. Every single "episode" turned out to be Rick Astley singing Never Gonna Give You Up, on constant repeat. I almost respect the prankster's effort enough to not want to gut him like a fish. Almost. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was listening to music, talking to a boy I like on MSN. He asked if I could share the song I was listening to, so I did. It wasn't until I had shared and fully transferred it did I realise it was actually the fake radio show I record on my own, in a phoney Australian accent. All 6 minutes of it. FML
Sinking pirate ship
Today, I wanted to stream my favourite show illegally, but it turns out the website got shut down and anyone affiliated would face fines. It's a bit of a shame because I had one episode left in the last season. FML
Today, trying to get some much needed rest, I heard my neighbors fighting loudly. When they finally quit, they left a DVD on, directly behind my wall: Spongebob, with the menu tune on loop. FML
Today, I downloaded a movie that I already own on DVD, because I was feeling too lazy to get up and fetch it from the living room. I think I've hit rock bottom. FML
Which show is it?
Today, I spoiled a TV show I've seen that a friend has started binge-watching by saying, “Episode 7 really did my head in.” His face turned from excitement to annoyance, and has vowed revenge, saying, "Great, I'm going to be anticipating episode 7 for the next few hours thanks to you, stop talking to me." FML
Rick Astley did nothing wrong
Today, I was getting my hair dyed in a salon and suddenly 'Never Gonna Give You Up' started playing in the background. Rickrolling isn't common where I live, so I just took some heavy psychic damage while everyone remained blissfully unaware. FML
Haha, fat people, haha
Today, I decided to put my friend through the ultimate test of maturity: watching an episode of My 600-lb Life. He didn't even go ten minutes before he started making jokes. I didn't go much longer before I started laughing at them. FML
Netfliiiiiiiiix
Today, I binge-watched an entire season of a TV show in one sitting and now I'm not sure what day it is. FML
Today, my girlfriend made me watch six hours of "Glee" with her. I don't know what I hate the most, the fact that I actually sat there and watched it or that I'm angry at Finn for breaking up with Rachel. FML
Today, the satellite radio at work went on the fritz, playing one song over and over. Management wouldn't turn it off, though, because then customers would miss out on all those upcoming-sale announcements that run intermittently. Meanwhile, I got to listen to "Footloose" for eight hours. FML

Fantastic rickrolled. Anyway, you should have checked the first episode before downloading the whole 60 GB-pack.

they're packed together in a single download sometimes; so maybe he wasn't able to and had to wait for all of it to dl

Right, but usually, on software like uTorrent, you can open the file and look at the parts that have downloaded
shabadabba 14
@80 Assuming he downloaded the videos through a torrent you can force the software to fully download specific elements such as an episode. if it was a zip download then yeah it would be just one big lump

I just learned that my autocorrect thinks "rickroll" should be "dick roll". I think autocorrect is trolling me.

At least the fine you'll be charged for copyright infringement will be SO much cheaper now that you pirated just one song instead of a whole series. And that troll is awesome!

With files that large just do a bit at a time. Like a few several at first to see the quality and such. I do that with printing as well, or other large order stuff. It may be pedantic but a full commitment shouldn't be what you're thinking of, and I'm sure you thought you couldn't get the show from any other guy, but still, rick rolling is pretty bad.

although it could've been one of those torrents where it's a zip file spread into dozens of parts, that'd make it way harder or impossible to preview anything until it's finished, though anyone that downloads those kinds of torrents is asking for trouble anyway

^just download by season not by the entire run of the show. or even a few episodes at a time. Most TV shows that I've downloaded allow you to select/deselect files. They're generally sorted by folders for each season and you can deselect each season. I wouldn't download a 60GB tv series without that freedom. I don't really download TV shows anymore because there's a lot of 3rd party sites that can stream videos. Then I just cast them to my TV from my browser and it's done.
