The fact that you've been with him for 7 years and he's just your boyfriend probably means you deserve it. There's no logical reason for only dating for that long, other than wanting the benefits without the commitment.

My best friend is going through this with her bf of 8yrs.... he still hangs out at the house like he lives there and she has to break up with him every time she talks to him, like its the first time. I thought he was just a wack job, but maybe OP's bf is going to go through the same fazes ...
