Today, I asked my boyfriend to go to the airport with me, to see me off for my three-month stay abroad. He said no because the two-hour drive is "too boring". FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I went with my boyfriend of 10 months to rent a car, for which he needed his dad to sign for. To avoid introducing me, he banished me to the nearest airport terminal, and picked me up 45 minutes later, around 11:30 p.m. FML
Today, I drove three and a half hours to surprise my long distance boyfriend for our anniversary. He was out of town. Where was he? Three and a half hours away trying to surprise me. FML
How very dare you?
Today, my boyfriend broke up with me because he "couldn't handle the distance." He said he "couldn't commit to driving to see me long term." We live two hours apart, and I've driven to him every time; he never tried to come to me once. FML
Waste
Today, my boyfriend told me that he was going to take a nap. When I asked him why he wanted to take a nap in the middle of the day, he said, "To make time go by faster." He's leaving in 9 days. We're going to be 3,000 miles apart. For a long time. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me he needed to reconsider coming to see me for financial reasons. I'm the one paying for the airfare, giving him a place to stay, and covering his expenses while he's here. FML
Today, I called my boyfriend to tell him how excited I was to drive 12 hours to see him and his new house. His girlfriend answered. FML
Mommy's boy
Today, I asked my fiancee to drive me to the airport for a business trip in a few days. She ranted angrily that she already had plans, so I asked my mom to take me instead. Now she's pissed and saying, "Why don't you just go marry your mommy, since she does everything for you?" FML
Welcome home!
Today, I went to the airport to pick up my long-distance boyfriend. Having waited six months for this, I was stoked. After waiting for three hours and sending numerous messages, I was eventually informed I was a week early. FML
Today, my boyfriend, who lives 100 miles away and whom I haven't seen in 2 months, told me he was visiting my city with some friends. I assumed this was an opening to an invitation, but no, he just asked me about the best places to get drunk. FML
Today, after months of planning, my boyfriend told me he's changed his mind and doesn’t want to move with me to where I got a job. Why? He doesn’t want to live that far away from his mother. FML

I'm sure a surprise break-up can keep him occupied for a while...

It didn't take long to see the break up posts appear.

I don't really see the problem with this, if it isn't a long distance relationship then you both are fine. It isn't that unusual to not want to go on a two hour long drive, and I'm sure he'll be there at that airport waiting when you get back. Also if you spent the day before together, or some day close to the date you were leaving, you shouldn't be too upset about it. Time flies when you're someplace exciting, and you'll be back before you know it :)

Exactly 29. Like, would YOU want to drive 2 hours to the airport just to drive 2 hours back after spending 5 minute saying goodbye to them in the airport? There's no point if you're not going with them.

It depends. There's a huge difference between laziness and sabotage. I went to study abroad in the middle of my relationship with my Ex. He always moaned about the drive to the airport - even though regularly drove a ton for fun. What it really was was him being emotional that I was leaving. This could potentially be the case for OP's boyfriend. However, if he attempts to sabotage her leaving with this, as my ex did, she should consider breaking it off.

Yeah, without a doubt. I know this because I've done something similar, and was happy to do it.

Maybe the denial of intercourse will keep him entertained!

I doubt it. From the way it is worded, he doesn't sound too into OP and will probably just look elsewhere unfortunately.

#3 She already is denying him sex for 3 months. #9 This. He doesn't miss you and couldn't even bring himself to pretend that he would because he's looking forward to all that he will be doing while you are gone.

Or break up with him and enjoy flirting on your vacation. How long have you been dating?

Or hey maybe next time take the boyfriend and you won't have the problem, probably just mad cuz he's being abandoned.

As we've all learned in how I met your mother, sometimes there's an "oh." moment. And I believe that's one of em.

That sucks OP, maybe the break will be good for both of you

Break up with him. You deserve way better, someone who will actually care & would go out of their way to see you.
