Today, I'm a 22 year-old guy with a 11:00 pm curfew. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my dad learned how to use the parental controls. I now have an 11 o'clock curfew. I am 17. FML
Law and order
Today, at the age of 20, I still have a bed time. It is strictly enforced by my cat via endless meows if I am up past 11 pm. FML
Today, I am currently grounded for three weeks, have no car, cell phone, or television privileges, and am not allowed to spend more than 10 minutes on the computer a day. The reason why: I was seven minutes past my 9'oclock curfew. I'm 18. FML
Today, my parents yelled at me for coming home at 1am this morning from a friend's birthday party. I'm 30 years old. FML
Mind of my own
Today, despite the fact that I'm 20 years-old, my parents never allow me to go out and have fun with my friends, under the pretext that I'm a girl. I'm stuck at house all year long, I only go out to the college they forced me to study at, and they decide everything about me. I’m tired. FML
The Dictator
Today, I discovered that my new landlords must meet and approve guests of mine before they come over, and guests are not allowed when they aren't home or past 11pm. I'm 25 years old and just moved out of my parents' home to get away from my controlling mother. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I got into trouble with his mother for me still being at their house at 1:00 am. I'm 24, he's 22 and we really were studying. FML
You gotta be kidding me?
Today, my mom scolded me and threatened to ground me for coming home past midnight. Normally, it wouldn't be unreasonable, except for the fact that I'm 24 years-old, and that my parents live with me, in my own house. FML
Today, after watching over my drunken mother all last night to make sure she didn't choke on her own vomit, I came to the conclusion that at the age of 53, she's more of a party animal than I ever will be. I'm a 22 year-old man. FML
Today, my parents threatened to take away my college funds. Why? Because I complained about my 10 pm curfew during break as a freshman in college. FML

I'm 22, and mine is 10 pm. Stupid economy forced me to move back in with the parents. Life sucks, and I feel your pain.

Just because you're an adult does not mean you don't need a curfew. Your parents probably just think you need your sleep. Or maybe try asking them why they set you a curfew.

true true my parents curfew was like 12 ish because they didnt want to hear me making noise and shit waking them up so maybe his family just wants there sleep or gtfo your parents house and find a job, go to college which i dont think i spelled right but who cares and if you cant do that work harder save some cash or crash/rent out with a friend dont post silly fmls like this just because you make small mistakes and want to bitch about them

no but being an adult should give you the right to decide when you should be home. so either move out or come to an agreement like letting them know whether or not you're going to be home. if you can do that then you only really have a problem unless you have no friends which makes curfew irrelevant anyway

Yes being an adult gives you the right to decide what time you come home if you live alone or with friends with the same routines. But parents will still make rules regardless of whether you're an adult or not and it's their house not yours at the end of the day.

No matter where you live, your "landlord" will give you rules. In a dorm, you may have a curfew, and not be allowed to drink. In an apartment, you may not be able to have a cat or a party. If you live with your parents, you may have a curfew. If you don't like the rules, move.

pretty sure you should grab a sack of man and tell who ever this is to go **** themselves. At 22 I had just gotten out of the corps and done three tours in Iraq. if someone had tried to give me a 11pm curfew I would have laughed in their face and told them to go fund the nearest overpass and swan dive into traffic.

I find it funny that you mocked OP for not bucking authority, then immediately mentioned your service in the corps. Wasn't it sorta your job to submit to authority? O.o I've got nothing against the military, or those who serve. Your wording just struck me as chuckle-worthy.

The thing is, if your parents had insisted on it, and it was your only choice, you saying you wouldn't have listened to them? I know when I lived with my parents, they never gave me a curfew, but they did insist I at least tell them ahead of time around what time I would be home, so they would know whether or not to lock up the dogs who bark at any noise at night. I have a 16 yr old who is going to be a dad in a couple months, and if he lives in my house after he graduates High School, he will have to live with my rules or get out. Don't knock someone for having to abide by someone else's rules, if they don't like the rules they are free to leave as well, but not every person has that option either. I wouldn't let any of my friends who still lived with their parents stay at my place, because I value my privacy

Wow. You're not arrogant at all. What does your military service have anything to do with FML? Shut up.
