Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I sent out an email asking people to contact me if they were not on our group's email list yet so that I could add them. I sent it out to the group list. They were quite amused. FML
Today, I got a new cell phone. I was unable to retrieve my old contact list from my old phone, so I sent out a mass email asking my friends to "Give me your contact info, unless you don't want me to text/call you!" No one is responding. FML
Today, I went to my uncle's house to celebrate Christmas. His kids don't have their own phones so I let them play with mine. They sent all my contacts messages saying I love them, including two of my ex-girlfriends who both immediately wanted to make up and started to frantically call me. FML
Today, I got a new smartphone and wanted to surprise my girlfriend with a naughty picture with it. A few minutes after sending it, I got a reply back from my girlfriend. And my best friend. And my sister. And everyone on my contacts list. FML
Today, I sent out a text saying "Smile! You're beautiful and don't let anyone tell you otherwise." to most of my contacts. I got one reply, from my best friend, saying, "Are you fucking stupid?" FML
Today, I sent out a Happy Snow Day text to 20 of my closest friends. My boyfriend, who doesn't have an iPhone, didn't realize it was a group text. He sent back a text breaking up with me. To all the people in the group message. FML
Today, after I got lectured about not replying on the family group chat, I decided to wish everyone a good morning. No one responded. FML
Today, my phone decided to delete all my numbers. I posted on Facebook that people should message or text me if they felt like I should have their number. I didn't get a single reply. FML
Today, I texted my girlfriend a long, heartfelt message this morning. Her response? "What do you need? Or is this even really you?" FML
Today, I asked a girl I liked for her number, but she claimed she had a broken phone and was getting a new one for Christmas. Unhinged, I go home and go onto Facebook. First thing I see is her status: "Why is no one answering my calls?" FML

You probably have a phone full of 5 year old contacts you don't talk to anymore. I know I do.. I have people on my phone that I don't even know who they are..

I hate mass texts, and I'm pretty sure 98% of the free world does, too. Send personalized ones. I only respond to "festive" texts when there's some evidence that they only sent it to me.

******' A! I never respond to those things, and what pisses me off even more is that they wake me up at 7 AM on holidays. If you ARE going to send a stupid mass text to your entire extended family, please remember: NOT EVERYONE IS IN THE SAME TIME ZONE AS YOU.
