Today, at my football game, I turned around to spit so that it would be away from my teammates. I ended up spitting on a 10-year-old kid walking behind me. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, while leaving a football game, I saw a half-empty bottle of Mountain Dew on the ground. It was night-time and there weren't many people around, so for a laugh, I picked it up and tossed it behind me as hard as I could. It hit someone. FML
Freakout
Today, while working as security for a football game, I told a woman she wasn't allowed to bring her Snickers bar into the stadium because no outside food was allowed in. She threw it at my face, then tried to spit on me. I hate people. FML
Hey you
Today, while I was running around the block, I got the urge to spit. Suddenly I noticed this beautiful girl running in front me. Trying to impress her, I smiled and by mistake drooled everything on the pavement. She wasn't impressed. FML
Just swallow it
Today, I was in class when I coughed up so much snot inside my mouth. It was so gross, I couldn’t talk. I raised my hand to go over to the sink to spit it out but I couldn’t talk and he didn’t understand, so I just got up and walked over. A few kids in the back saw me do it and said, "Ewwww." Everyone stared. FML
Headshot
Today, I was walking around in a park when I passed some kids playing soccer. One of them kicked the ball as hard as he could at me. Luckily, I caught the ball, then I drop-kicked it, intending to say, "Go get it." Instead, it bounced off a nearby tree and hit me in the face. FML
Today, at work I was playing football with one of my camp kids in the indoor-pool. I saw a co-worker walking by and I decided to hit him with the football. The football slipped out of my hand and I hit a lady in the face, breaking her nose, and causing her to fall and get a concussion. FML
Kick it
Today, my worst fear was realised while walking past an under 15’s football game. The ball landed right by me and I attempted to kick it back, except it went flying diagonally & ended up even further away. I’m a 36 year-old man and got roasted by a bunch of 15 year-old boys. FML
Today, during a soccer game, some utter moron got the bright idea of trying to score a goal from his side of the field. I sarcastically made a big show of just barely stopping the ball, and nailed it off to the side. The ball hit a kid so hard in the head that he had to go to the hospital. FML
Not sporty
Today, I passed a field where some kids were playing football. The ball rolled over in my direction, so they asked me to kick it over. I tried and failed three times, and ended up throwing it over, where it embarrassingly landed about 2 feet away. They had to come over and get it. FML
Free kick
Today, I was in the park for a walk when a ball rolled to my feet. Figuring it belonged to the kids not far off, I wound back and kicked. The ball had actually been kicked by someone else for their dog to chase and I ended up punting it in the head. FML

Got to take a second look perhaps next time?

YDI - I don't get why all the players feel the need to do it all the time..

1, if it's a habit to spit it's just an instinct and it just happens. Ik it's not good. Haha I've done something similar OP. I feel you. It's alright though just say sorry. Lol

Hopefully you didn't traumatize the kid too bad....

I sincerely hope that something as minor as accidentally being spit on is not traumatizing for a 10 year-old, albeit they probably deemed the situation to be rather upsetting. I also find it highly likely that OP apologized considering that OP felt it was an FML moment and used the word "accidentally" in reference to the incident.

That's one fan you lost OP. Or maybe he's a superfan and he'll never wipe it off

I'm in no sports, yet I spit all the time, I might be the only girl that does so at my school. I feel OP doesn't deserve this, how was he suppose to know that somebody was coming up behind him? Assuming that he was only a little way from the players you'd expect no other people not involved in the game out on the field.

#11, OP could have very well been on the sidelines.

13, he probably was on the sidelines. You still wouldn't expect a 10yo kid to be there.

#11 Are you a llama?

Do you realize how thick (and even at times phlegmy) saliva can get when exercising so intensely? That's not something you keep in your mouth ...
ColonelCusswords 24
I heard that spitting sometimes helps hydration when it starts getting thick
Pat_Tricksta 13
Then you must not play football. Do you know how gross a smelly mouthpiece is?
cadillacgal79 32
No, I exercise a lot hence my spitting all the time.
pessimistprime 4
Your picture. I like that shiz.
doodlecloud 27
Why bother to put that you don't do sports if you exercise all the time? It's basically the same reason. Besides, even if you think it's okay when you are exercising, you definitely shouldn't do it when you're not. Gross and unhygienic.

Cause swallowing is gay

Poor kid!!

You Should watch where you spit
pwnman 33
You should have looked where you were spitting, OP. I assume it was a crowded place.

He shoots, he scores! Right out of the top drawer and between the little ones eyes. Sensational, absolutely sensational *tears in eyes*
MoodiQ 8
more like spit in eyes
Kergami 18
Should of just swallowed. :( Sorry OP.
mcrepas 19
Spit is disgusting to swallow, especially when playing sports and it gets thick.
jerryj 27
Based on negative votes for both options, OP shouldn't have spat nor swallowed. The other logical option then would be to fish it out with a sponge.
ColonelCusswords 24
#30 your solution is perfect. Ill start carrying sponges to baseball games and hand them out to players
Chibi_Kitten 24
Time to invest in mouth douches
ColonelCusswords 24
You ruined it

I feel like the kid should have written this FML.

Today, I was going to my big brother's game then some asshole spat on me. FML
Catkam623 27
Spitters are quitters you should have just swallowed it and saved the little boy from a future fear of football players
hplover7 11
I don't know why your comment keeps getting negative votes. Totally agree withthis
aimzskee 30
I don't think the kid will have a future fear of football players. It's spit, it's not like op punched him.
Catkam623 27
I mean it was a ******* reference mostly meant as a joke but I mean getting a face full of phlegm could be pretty traumatizing.
