Today, as I was bagging groceries, I looked down to see a 6-year-old urinating on my shoes and the floor next to me. I told his mother that he should take her kid to the restroom, only to be told to "mind my own goddamn business." I was later fired for arguing with the customer. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Thanks, come again!
Today, I was ringing a lady up at the register. I noticed her son was doing the peepee dance, so I rushed the payment process up and handed her the receipt. The little boy said "Mommy" and the mom looked down, then back up at me saying, "Your problem now" and walked out. The boy had pissed on the floor. FML
When nature calls
Today, while I was working in a grocery store, a costumer decide to take a dump on the ground after I told him he couldn’t access to restrooms because my boss closed them due to COVID restrictions. FML
Bag of frozen peas time
Today, I got sent home from work after a customer's daughter kicked me in the balls because her order was wrong. She was 6 years-old. FML
Today, I slipped on a crayon a little girl threw on the floor, causing me to drop the tray of water I was carrying, making me spill it all over her. After getting cussed out by her mom, I was fired for making a customer unhappy. FML
Not now!
Today, I was in a department store with my three year old daughter to buy some new jeans. I took her into the dressing room with me and as I began to take off my pants she yells, "Mommy, you can't go peepee in here!!" I am no longer welcome in that particular store. FML
Today, a customer asked a question I couldn’t answer. I asked if she would wait while I consulted someone else, but she spat in my face and stormed off. My manager saw, wrote me up for refusing to help, and gave the woman a gift card for her troubles. FML
Today, a customer yelled at me so furiously that she sprayed my face with spittle. I had to stand there, smiling and politely explaining that I needed to see a receipt before I could give her a refund. When she finally gave up and left, my boss bitched me out for "provoking the customer". FML
Stranger danger
Today, I helped a 6 year-old boy who was left alone at a store to get back home. The kid's parents were grateful, but my mother cussed me out and called me stupid for helping the kid. No good dead goes unpunished. FML
Today, a kid got his hand stuck inside my store's giant gumball machine. He started crying, and his negligent trainwreck of a mom bitched me out for being "unobservant." I'd been mopping up the mess she'd made after she'd spilled an open can of beer all over the floor. FML
Today, I was fired because a 10-year-old shat his pants and couldn't follow directions. FML

Take them to court. I'm sure a jury can see the logic and misjustice in firing someone for not wanting piss on their shoes.

I am from Europe and I keep reading about crazy FML stories of people getting fired because of stupid customers. Is this quite common in America? Is the customer really always right regardless of what happens??? I am quite shocked. Many time have I told customers to f-off, with the support of my managers, simply because we get paid doesn't mean we're prostitutes who can get peed on - with a smile -

thats horrible! but believe me they probably fired you because they needed a excuse to do so, with the economy the way it is around the world, anything is good enough to fire someone. Don't mind the mother, probably trying to not make her kid's embarrassment worst then it already is by having a stranger tell her off because of her son.

#1, intentionally peeing on someone's shoe is not an accident, and telling her that she needs to take him to the bathroom is in no way telling her off! Not sure what you were reading, because this is clearly about a bratty kid with no manners and a bitchy mom who can't be bothered to watch her kid!

Any parent who takes their embarrassment out on others is only making themselves look worse. I can't help but think you weren't exactly pleasant with her though which may have what caused you to be fired. I wouldn't have done anything different though. And forget about the economy, people use the dumbest reasons to fire people all the time.

#6 That really is how it is most of the time. Ignorant and rude customers get their way all the time.

I would bring the hammer down on the company. Sue for wrongful termination.

Most grocery stores have strong unions. Call your representative.
