Today, after three weeks of holding out, my stingy boss finally called animal control about the birds in the air vent above the register. While I was working, they rummaged through the vents, causing live maggots to fall down right in front of me. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I had a terrible stomach ache and had some pretty bad gas at work. I tried to head down to the basement for a while to allow my coworkers to continue in peace. About an hour after I came back up, my boss called pest control due to the horrible smell that "must be dead rats". FML
Ewwwwwwww
Today, I had to move down to the third floor because after complaining about rats on my rooftop the landlord put down traps. The rats died. Flies came. The flies laid eggs. The eggs birthed maggots. The maggots rained down from my broken ceiling into my bed and all over my floor. I'm not okay. FML
Stressed out
Today, at my job in a pet store, my boss had me pull all the bags of food out and restock them so that they sat pretty. Five minutes later, the store is full of people. My manager screamed, "They're touching things!" and locked himself in the office with a cup of tea. He has the only open register. FML
I am very hungry
Today, a bird flew into the workshop where I work, gave itself a tour of the place, then promptly pooped on my lunch and left. FML
Today, there was a mandatory staff-wide "cleaning party" for a corporate inspection. I was assigned the outside bar which is infested with full-grown roaches with wings. FML
Today, I was at work and a lady screamed at my manager for about 15 minutes, saying I needed to be fired because I couldn't get rid of all the flies buzzing around her food. She was the one who chose to eat on our patio. FML
Get it!
Today, it was my first day closing alone at a pet store when a lady came in wanting to return a bird she bought months ago. Once I informed her there were no returns on livestock, she let the bird free and ran out the door, leaving me to catch it and explain to my manager where it came from. FML
Hi guys
Today, I walked out the back door of my place of employment and looked down to see a huge cockroach. This is quite a normal occurrence, so I thought nothing of it until I realized it was struggling to drag the corpse of one of its friends into the building. FML
Today, I learned that my house's fly infestation is worse than I thought. I now have maggots crawling and dropping from my ceiling. I have to sleep under them. FML
Today, at work, I was trying to get the octopus out of its tank to transfer it to another one. It instantly latched to my face and sprayed ink all over me. My boss told me to stop playing with the animals. FML

If would have been worse if it fell on her instead of in front of her...

I would have bugged out. But then, its better than poop from one of the birds splashing down atop your head/in your face/mouth. And/or being attacked by one.

Maggots aren't even that gross... I mean they aren't pleasant... But... They're quite tame compared to a lot of things! They're just cleaning up after everyone else... someone has to do it! And to think! The maggots didn't even fall ON her! :/

OP will this image flying around in her mind for a while. Hopefully OP could nestle up in another area to work in at her workplace until everything is cleaned up so she wouldn't be insect-ions like that. That would make her more chipper.

Put those things in a cup(if you can) and show your boss. Should convince him well enough.

Or leave them on the floor and show him/her...
sarah6786 14
Or sprinkle them in his hair while he's bot looking and hope one of the birds swoops down for a snack.

Bot looking? Is this some type of robot ****?

Why are you complaining OP? Free lunch is a privilege, maggots are full of riboflavin.

I had a problem with mold in the ceiling panels at work which the supervisor would not get fixed. Many employees had respiratory problems and complained too. Many sick days were taken due to this problem. I finally called the EPA who takes things like that seriously. We are now in a new office building as the cost to make the old one meet minimum standards was too high.

You should be able to make an anonymous call to the local building authority... maybe get a temporary condemnation as a "sick" building.

Birds and maggots in the vent? Screw animal controll, call Ghostbusters.
klutz44 28
Uh, I'm pretty sure Ghostbusters get rid of ghosts. I mean, unless we have Ghost Birds and Ghost Maggots on our hands, then we definitely need them.
Gestpacho88 12
Or ghost Nappa
