Today, after three weeks of holding out, my stingy boss finally called animal control about the birds in the air vent above the register. While I was working, they rummaged through the vents, causing live maggots to fall down right in front of me. FML

The birds would have been liquified and devoured within three weeks. Your story is not believable.

What kind of place could you possibly work at thats that disgusting?!?! You said register so I asume there are things being sold how've they not shut that business down yet?

Sweet, free meal! Good source of protein.

Well, at least you know what the birds were after, now... Must've been a slimy situation~ ;)

I doubt those were maggots, OP. Why would there be maggots in a bird nest? My nick isn't "birds" for nothing, and I'm willing to bet that they were soft-bodied ticks. Look it up. They're very common in bird nests, and look quite maggoty. Don't worry, they won't hurt you, they feed almost exclusively on birds.

Or maybe the maggots were there first, and the birds went in after, to eat them.

At least they didn't fall on you?

is that a question or is it supposed I be a statement... I cannot tell..

Welcome to the Internet. ^

*to Wow I'm stupid :P

In front of you? Be glad they didn't fall ON you.

If your boss wasn't cheapskate, a partially-decomposed dead bird would have fallen on your desk. Would that have been better?
