Today, after a long day of cleaning, I decided to make a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch. Reaching for what I thought was Pam I coated my bread with spray and put my sandwich in the pan. Pledge makes a great looking sandwich, but the lemony flavor tastes like crap. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Too many cooks, etc.
Today, I tried to make a grilled cheese sandwich for myself, but as soon as I started, my mom rushed into the kitchen and criticized me for making it "wrong". She then made the sandwich for me. It tasted significantly worse than when I make them. FML
Today, my lovely boyfriend decided to make grilled cheese on his own for the first time in months. Apparently, within that time span he forgot that plastic doesn't go well with prolonged heat. Goodbye favorite pan and spatula. FML
Monday monday
Today, I opened my lunch at work to discover that my sandwich was a soggy mess. The Tupperware I'd put it in was a piece of crap, and all the mayo had leaked out. I tried to salvage it but then spilled the whole thing in my lap. I ended up eating my lunch with a plastic fork, and even my fingers, like an angry animal. FML
Today, I was halfway through eating a what I though was a delicious sandwich, when I turned it over and saw nasty green mold on the bread. FML
Today, my kids tried to make grilled cheese by turning the toaster sideways. When all was done, it all flew out onto the kitchen floor. Both my kids and my husband left the mess there for me to clean up when I got home. FML
Sounds… lovely?
Today, by being clumsy when putting my bread slices on a plate, I invented a sensational new type of sandwich: The Nutella-Salmon-Garlic Double-Decker. FML
How very dare you?
Today, while working, a woman complained that she didn't ask for sauce on her sandwich. After examining the sandwich, I realized it was just melted cheese. When I told her, she threw the sandwich at me. FML
Tasty smell test failed
Today, after a week of wondering why my room smelled terrible, I found the culprit: a moldy sandwich I'd hidden under my bed during a movie night to avoid sharing it with my brother. I don’t know what’s worse - the smell or the fact that I was outsmarted by a sandwich. FML
Slippery slope
Today, I got popcorn when getting groceries. I was excited to see popcorn butter spray on sale and decided to try it. Excited, I made some popcorn while I went to use the can. Butter sprayed like an aerosol can all over my desk and floor. Now, my apartment smells like a movie theater and there's butter EVERYWHERE! FML
Today, I decided to make myself a nice meal. I bought expensive pasta and sauce etc. It looked delicious, I decided the finishing touch would be some parmesan cheese. I grabbed the bag and threw a handful of cheese on my meal. The cheese was about 98% mould. FML

YDI for using PAM normally to make grilled cheese. Try some BUTTER, or a butter spread~not aerosolized oil.

Why is your Pledge by your PAM?

WHYYYYYY dont people even try to read labels anymore?

These idiots don't READ CANS OR LABELS, so they wouldn't know that the directions say to coat the pan. Freaking illiterate doofuses... :p

FYI, you're supposed to spray the pan. Not the food.

Why would you keep your cleaning supplies with your food supplies? Way to go!

You know, besides the obvious scent difference, besides the obvious difference in can size and the spray nozzle, wouldn't you think cooking a cleaning spray would produce some pretty noticeable smoke? Oy, I'm glad for my little nonstick, counter-top grill. No butter or anything else needed, just bread, cheese and pretty grill lines. Mmmm

That's not a grilled cheese, if you are not using butter. That would be more of a toasted sandwich. Try a little butter, it will make a huge difference.

If you want to be really technical, if you're using butter, you're not grilling, you're frying. I am well aware of the taste difference between a sandwich made with and without butter. I am also aware that my ass needs no extra butter.

I am aware that with butter you are frying -- and that is a definitive characteristic of a grilled cheese. It's a bit of a misnomer, much like french fries are not really french.

Slathering it in butter and throwing it in a pan is what people generally equate with a grilled cheese sandwich. But, when you're cooking it in a way that creates actual grill lines on it, I'm going to say that still constitutes a grilled cheese sandwich, especially when the former is, as you say, a misnomer. Either way, this is SO irrelevant to the FML, lol.

this was obviously fake. 1. Who keeps pledge near their food? 2. They said they had been cleaning all day long. Well if they had been cleaning all day long wouldn't it be time for dinner not lunch?

Yeah, cleaning suplies rarely taste as good as they smell... LOL!! My suggestion? Make a new sandwich.
