Today, whilst singing at school in front of 300 visiting primary school children I forgot the second verse to my song and let out an F*** word with the microphone still up to my face. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Britain's Got Talent?
Today, during an important music audition, I fudged everything up and forgot half the lyrics of the song I was performing, so I just sort of tailed off into embarrassed silence on stage. It was an original song, I wrote the lyrics myself. All the lady could say was, "Good luck next year, dear." FML
Today, I worked up the courage to sing at an open mic night. I lost my cool halfway through because all I could hear was laughter. FML
Online classes can be tricky
Today, I accidentally unmuted my mic during a class, and normally it would've just been silence, but dumb old me just had to sing a song at the top of my lungs, and I only stopped when my phone blew up with notifications. Great. FML
Today, in my online class, I accidentally unmuted my mic. Normally that would be fine… except today I decided to serenade myself with a silly song. I didn't realize until everyone started clapping at the end of the song. FML
Hang in there
Today, I was singing the National Anthem at a school game and totally forgot the words. So I kept singing the same two lines over and over. FML
Inappropriate Billy Joel
Today, I performed a piano piece at a school play. Everything went well until I got up and accidentally smashed my shin against one of the piano legs. Before I could bite my tongue, I'd already yelled "Fucking hell!" in front of about 50 second graders. FML
In New York, concrete jungle wet dream tomato
Today, my brain seemingly went on vacation and I forgot the lyrics to a song I was performing in front of a live audience, so I ended up ad-libbing a bunch of garbage. FML
Waxing lyrical
Today, at a party, I tried to play it cool by pretending to know all the lyrics to a song, but ended up singing the wrong words and embarrassing myself. FML
Are you OK?
Today, while thinking about something cringe I did, I accidentally said, "Oh fuck!" aloud during someone's speech. The room besides me and the speaker was otherwise quiet. FML
Lost in music
Today, I was listening to music with headphones in my usually quiet class. At one point I really got into the song so I just quietly sang along because why not. Turns out by the end of the song I was singing at full volume, almost yelling, and my friend stopped me to say that. The entire back row was laughing. FML

Bah, those children will learn that word sooner or later anyway. This FML is a funny one unlike virtually every other one. FYL and I hope you won't get any lawsuits from kids' parents :)

haha, I saw something really similar happen a few weeks ago. i was at my brother & sister's school awards night, and the class president was giving her valedictory address. After the first page, she turned over and obviously it was not the page she was expecting. She hesitated, flicked another page or so, shuffled her entire pile of papers (looked like about 4 pages), then said into the mic "sorry, I'll just be a moment"; shuffled the papers again, and obviously forgetting she had an uber-sensitive mic less than 12 inches from her face, muttered "sh*t" in front of probably about 800 students, parents, teachers, dignitaries, families & friends etc. She obviously didn't realise until a second later when everybody laughed. Upon hearing the laugh, her eyes widened, she looked up from her papers to look at the audience, and her hand flew up in front of her mouth. She stood like that for a good ten to fifteen seconds while we laughed again. She ended up going on with her speech, obviously having completely lost the page she was looking for. F her L.

You misspelled "who's".

We say it in Australia, where the poster is from. We also say "amongst". My American friends love that one.

You just gave those kids about a month's worth of education in a single syllable. If I think of all the stuff I learned in school, only a few are more important than the F-word. I carry it with me every day and I use it like a linguistic Swiss Army knife. FML? STFU? WTF? Check, check and check. I've never used synthetic division in the real world, but we wasted a few days on that.

Very true, Perdix. I doubt those kids will ever need to draw a diagram of the Loop of Henle in the real world, but they'll be able to tell co-workers, spouses, and maybe even their own kids one day, to go **** themselves. Now that's ejakashun!
Einthe 0
flying_vegan, you misspelled ejakashun. It's ejmakashun! Seriously, a friend told me about how when she enrolled her daughter in an Alabama school the principal told her that her daughter would get a good ejmakashun.

I really dont have to say much considering you used the word i was thinking of for you as your name, and 'omg u have messed up life as those kids saw it,you might as well have said Santa was a fake'
