Today, after 4 days of avoiding me and screening his calls, my 24-year-old boyfriend sent his mother to break up with me on his behalf. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, my boyfriend of 3 years called my house even though I was with him at the time. He needed to talk to my mom. He asked her to break up with me for him. FML
Today, my 23 year old boyfriend of 2 years was forced to dump me, over the phone, by his mother. FML
Technique
Today, my boyfriend broke up with me. How? He invited my mother to his house for coffee with his parents, and told her. She then had to come home and tell me I’d been dumped. FML
Corruption
Today, my boyfriend just told me that his mom told him to break up with me, and that she would pay him to do it. His mom is a bitch. FML
Today, my boyfriend broke up with me two days before my birthday. Only to make it worse, I found out that he had been texting my mother on how to break up with me. To make it even worse, she was giving him tips. FML
Red flag
Today, my boyfriend broke up with me. Apparently, he spoke with my mom and the fact that she wants me dead is a huge red flag. FML
Today, I brought my boyfriend of 2 weeks home to meet my mom and she started talking about how she really wants a lot of grand-kids. He called 2 hours later and broke up with me. FML

Don't blame me
Today, I had to break up with my girlfriend at her request, because she "didn't have the heart to do it." Within twenty minutes I'd received four calls from mutual friends, including my best friend, telling me what a jerk I am. And one from my mom. FML

To be fair, if you knew it was coming, why ignore him?

As much as it hurts right now, it's a good thing he's gone. If he couldn't have broken up with you himself and given you the respect you deserve, he wasn't worthy of you.

Someday in the future (like tomorrow) you will look back and realize that it was the best thing that ever happened to you.

I know that feel. My 21-year-old ex ignored me for a full month and then broke up with me over text. What is wrong with some people?

I'm confused as to why you let your ex ignore you for a whole month before acting on it yourself? I would have initiated that break up long before. *month later* S/O: Oh, btw, I'm breaking up with you. Me: You can't. S/O: What do you mean? Me: I broke up with you 2 weeks ago.

Believe me, I got that far myself. Don't assume everybody on the internet is an imbecile.

Thank goodness you dodged that bullet then! I typically don't like saying the usual "you're better off without him" but in this case it's 100% valid. You really are better without some immature brat like him.
