Today, a cute girl I know in passing approached me very nervously and blushing like mad. She gave me a note with a number on it, said to call her, then ran away. When I called the number later, it was one of those rejection hotlines. What the hell? FML

Next time you see her, put her on the spot & tell her you lost her number & then ask her for it. First, she'll be bummed her "trick" didn't work & second, she'll feel bad when you don't call her. Turn about is fair play.

Curious as to what OP's interaction with her has been thus far that made the girl feel the need to do this. If OP has been creepy, maybe she's being proactive. But if OP truly just knows her "in passing" this is a total dick move on the girl's part.

go throw eggs at her house. what an asshole! I'm sorry that happened to you.

I have a feeling she was forced to be put up to it, either that or she's really egotistical.

Get her actual number from someone and giver her a call. Act normal so she thinks she gave you her number instead of the rejection one.

Tell her you lost the number, but I'm not really that into you then walk away. Not worth you time or energy.

well that was awkward, ladies and gentlemen Mr. Conway Twitty

Every man hear feels for you, chin up bro.

Well their hotline blinged.

I feel like if that's all OP did, without pissing her off, then that's how women get a bad rep. Otherwise, idk why she would do that. Maybe a mistake..?

Sounds more like a dare

Return and say you lost her number. Then use the opportunity for a revenge prank.
