Today, a customer asked me how long our 6-inch sandwich was. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, the guy at Subway asked if I wanted to make my sandwich a footlong. I'm not sure what came over me, but before I realized what I was saying, I'd told him that I couldn't handle 12 inches. FML
Today, while working as a cashier at a fast food restaurant, a customer asked me how many chicken nuggets were in our 6 count chicken nuggets. FML
Today, while working the Sunday rush at the deli, I held up a piece of ham to a blind customer and asked him if it was thick enough. FML
Get back here!
Today, whilst working at Subway, I took an order for 6 footlongs. The entire process took 15 minutes due to the customer's hesitant and glacial pace. When it came to paying, he pulled out his wallet, looked inside, looked at me, and walked quickly out of the store. FML
Flustration
Today, I got flustered by the gorgeous sandwich artist at Subway and ordered a “meat-long foot-ball.” On Rye of course. FML
Customer service
Today, while at work, a customer, who was also on his phone, rudely asked what kinds of bread we had for his sandwich. After I told him we had many different kinds to offer, he cut me off, told me to stop playing stupid, and stormed out after holding up a long line of people. FML
Subbed
Today, my girlfriend and I were buying Subway. When it came to ring up the order the lady asked us together or separate? My girlfriend looked and said separate. Half-jokingly, I asked if it was some sort of hint. She looked at me and said yes. I got broken up over a 12-inch ham sub. FML
Today, a woman came in to order lunch. She ordered a sandwich then asked for me to configure it precisely to her complicated desires. This took a whole 5 minutes, during the lunch rush. When I told her the cost, she decided it was too expensive and cancelled her order. FML
Today, while working at a sandwich shop, we had a shortage and could only put so many veggies on one sandwich. I explained this to one man who was grumpy about it, but kept on ordering. I thought everything went well. He thought my face was a good target to launch his completed sandwich at. FML
Today, while waiting on a customer at a restaurant, I accidentally asked a midget if she'd like a children's menu. FML

She/he probably just wanted you to show you with fingers :)

Maybe he wasn't sure what 6 inches looked like and wanted a visual measurement (like show the bread or an estimate with your hands)

Why is this a FML? Sure, it was a stupid question, but does that really make your life worse somehow? Grow up.

Did you reply, 6 inches?

Just respond very loudly at him, but not quite yelling, "Our SIX inch sandwich is SEVEN inches LOONG."

That's a fair question unfortunately since most sub places don't actually have to have the sandwich the size that is advertised. For example a subway sub is actually just a little over 11 inches but it says it's a foot long. So you deserve it for just assuming that everyone knows the exact size of your sandwich.

This happened to me once except with bottled water "We have 1L or 500mL" They replied with "I'll have whichever ones the smallest"
