Today, my kids and I went to have dinner with a coworker. After everyone ate, the kids went to play while I helped clear the dishes. To my horror, instead of individually wrapping the kids leftovers, she scraped all the uneaten food back into the main pots. I wanted to puke on the spot. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, a coworker threw my lunch in the trash. They'd just got back from holidays, and I use the same containers they do. My leftovers "looked like something they'd eat", so they thought it was something they'd forgotten before going on holidays. It was leftovers that I'd been spacing out, trying to make last till payday. FML
Today, at work, I watched a man throw up in his hands, dump the contents on his plate, then eat the things it "didn't touch." I had to wash his plate. FML
Today, while at a restaurant, I watched in horror as my daughter picked a hair out of her food and continued eating it. FML
Today, after it appeared my daughter was throwing away any vegetables in her school lunch, I packed her all vegetables so she would have to eat at least one. Nope! She threw them out and complained to school that "mommy doesn't feed" her. I got a call from the school. FML
Today, I went to pick up a pizza with my kids for an easy dinner. As soon as I opened my mouth to order, the 2-year-old in my arms vomited into it. FML
Today, I made a healthy, delicious dinner. My girlfriend picked at it until it went cold, then stuck it in the fridge. Later, she devoured a giant bowl of sugary cereal, then complained all night that her stomach hurt. This happens a lot. FML
Today, I was impressing dinner guests by spinning my new baby in the air (something she loves), when she projectile vomited over the dinner table and the guests. My wife, who had spent three hours cooking was not impressed. Once of the guests was also a sympathy spewer. FML
Today, surprisingly, my roommate made a nice meal. Within an hour, I started throwing up. When I confronted her, she confessed that she'd used long expired ingredients, including meat, because she didn't want the garbage men to think she's "the type that wastes food." FML
Today, I volunteered to cater an event at school. A little girl asked for a big slice of cake so I gave it to her. She then puked everywhere and her parents blamed me and made me clean it up. The little girl sat there smiling at me while I cleaned. FML
Today, I spent an hour making my favorite work lunches, then portioning them out so I could have them all week. I later came home to a pile of empty containers. My girlfriend said, "Sorry, I got the munchies. Also, can you please do the dishes?" FML

while that maybe true 1. this person is ops coworker, so they probably make similar amounts of money, 2. op has a relative idea of how much they make. also we're kinda in the middle of a pandemic, not only is this unsanitary it's also unsafe.

It's not even that... How do you know the food you just ate weren't left overs? Even if not, they pile up all the food everyone else just ate to eat again as left overs. Timmy chewed up his chicken, but didn't like it and decided to spit it back out onto his plate. Even if not, kids tend to play in their food. I don't have kids, but I can't see myself ever eating after one. I couldn't see myself eating ANYONE'S leftovers tbh. Talking over it, spit flying everywhere. Food falling from their mouth. Them playing with their food. Them being sick and spreading it to their plate... All this and I haven't even mentioned COVID... I mean come on!!! Even for people who'd normally do this... it isn't even just their food, but EVERYONE'S??? Even the guests? Talk about spreading the germs... And if they're that willy nilly with leftover food safety, I don't even wanna know about their meal prep...
