Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, at my gender reveal party, my daughter threw a huge temper tantrum and knocked over tables and chairs screaming, “Fuck this shit!” when the reveal came out pink. She’s five. FML
Today, I finally got my 18 month-old to throw away her trash and dirty diapers. Now she throws everything away, and I can't get her to stop. FML
Today, my daughter spent three hours crying and having a temper tantrum over being forced to have a bath after four days without one. My daughter is 16. FML
Today, I woke up to my 2-year-old daughter hitting me in the face. She had just pooped her nappy and put her hands down her pants to "feel it squish around." FML
Today, my 2-year-old daughter overheard my wife and I arguing and fixated on one particular insult my wife threw at me. Now my daughter won't stop saying "Daddy a numbnuts", always with a big smile on her face. FML
Today, I found out why my five-year-old has been throwing tantrums while shopping. It turns out my ex-husband has been paying her three dollars for every public tantrum she throws. FML
Today, my daughter refuses to make eye contact, won’t eat any of the food I make, and still throws tantrums in middle school. I have no idea where I went wrong raising the brat. FML
Today, my 4 year-old daughter's favorite expression became "shit balls." FML
Today, my two year old girl said "motherfucker". Everyone laughed, even her grandparents. Our family is insane. FML
Today, my 6-year-old daughter threw a tantrum in the middle of a store, all because I wouldn't buy her a pushup bra. FML

A water spray bottle tends to solve that problem. Works on beagles, too! (If not, then point it at your own open mouth after first refilling with vodka....)

Let her see grown-ups be told they can't celebrate St. Patrick's Day. They can be her role models.

What an horrible thing to do! A child is not a dog.

I'm sorry you have to go through this now but it's not easy for your daughter either. Besides, she's a toddler now; what did you expect?

So are you giving into them or ignoring them? If you continually cave in she knows its easy to manipulate you. If you ignore them, or take her to the car when she acts out so other shoppers don't glare at you, she'll learn.

If she's throwing tantrums, it's because she's upset and doesn't have the language skills to tell you what's wrong. Try giving her more warning before changing activities, making sure she has snacks and drinks available, and maybe a nap during the day.
