Today, I was texting my boyfriend when he said, "Hold up." Thinking it'd be funny, I ran and grabbed my copy of the movie Up, and took a picture of me holding it and sent it to him. He replied, "Getting real tired of your shit." Then dumped me for my "dumb taste in humor." FML
Today, my boyfriend and I were in bed and I asked him why he was with me. His answer was, "Well, the last girl I dated was really smart and she always made me feel dumb, so I decided to switch things up a bit. You make me feel like a genius, babe." FML
Today, after a hard day's work and emotional argument with my best friend, I sent my boyfriend a text telling him how much I loved him and cherished him in the hopes he would cheer me up with a romantic reply. He said "Sorry, I've only got 8 texts left." FML
Today, the guy I like took 15 hours to respond to my text. When I asked him why he took so long to respond, he said, “Chill, I’m not your boyfriend or anything, why are you asking me questions like that?” FML
Today, I got in a fight with my boyfriend. I sent him a long message pouring my heart out about how hurt I am that he constantly ignores me or responds to almost everything I say in monosyllables. He texted back "ok". FML
Today, my boyfriend came over and dropped off my phone, which I'd left at his place the night before. He immediately left in a sulk. As I looked through my texts, I discovered he was only so moody because I hadn't answered any of his calls or messages. I'm dating an idiot. FML
Today, I sent my boyfriend a long and heartfelt message. He responded with "tl; dr". FML

YDI, definitely. How would you feel if he suddenly txted you with the same question? When I'm busy I really hate it when someone asks me a question they already know the answer to. I'm sure he wouldn't reply that way if he knew how you felt. Boy crying wolf.

Your boyfriend is a complete scumbag for saying that to you. Seriously, you are so much better off without him. If you're feeling down, yeah, I agree with the others who say that fishing for compliments isn't the way to go about it, and neither is relying on someone else for your self esteem, but seriously, this guy is a douche for saying that to you. He obviously doesn't respect you AT ALL and you should chuck him. Men need to learn that speaking to women like they're dirt = getting dumped. I know that you'll probably stay with him but seriously, think about how little value you're placing on yourself by doing that. And in response to 37, maybe all the girls here who say "dump him" can't date any guy they want, but at least we've worked out that it's better to be single than be with a guy who treats you like crap.

Hey. How about going shopping? Get a new bikini and head to the beach or pool! That'll cheer you right up. Or get an awesome new mountain bike and find fun places to zip around. Hit the gym and burn the negative energy out. There are so many better ways to cheer up. Whatever it takes, just leave the guy alone. Things'll get better. :)

okay for everyone who is saying "YDI" or "she's fishing for compliments" apaparently you guys have never been down and needed cheering up, and while guys tend to get angry and vent or just keep it to themselves, girls want someone else to cheer them up because most girls (arrogant ones not included) are humble to themselves and want someone else to confirm that they are pretty, sweet, ect., so shut up about her being depressed because you are being total hypocrites
