Today, I was texting my boyfriend when he said, "Hold up." Thinking it'd be funny, I ran and grabbed my copy of the movie Up, and took a picture of me holding it and sent it to him. He replied, "Getting real tired of your shit." Then dumped me for my "dumb taste in humor." FML
Today, my boyfriend and I were in bed and I asked him why he was with me. His answer was, "Well, the last girl I dated was really smart and she always made me feel dumb, so I decided to switch things up a bit. You make me feel like a genius, babe." FML
Today, after a hard day's work and emotional argument with my best friend, I sent my boyfriend a text telling him how much I loved him and cherished him in the hopes he would cheer me up with a romantic reply. He said "Sorry, I've only got 8 texts left." FML
Today, the guy I like took 15 hours to respond to my text. When I asked him why he took so long to respond, he said, “Chill, I’m not your boyfriend or anything, why are you asking me questions like that?” FML
Today, I got in a fight with my boyfriend. I sent him a long message pouring my heart out about how hurt I am that he constantly ignores me or responds to almost everything I say in monosyllables. He texted back "ok". FML
Today, my boyfriend came over and dropped off my phone, which I'd left at his place the night before. He immediately left in a sulk. As I looked through my texts, I discovered he was only so moody because I hadn't answered any of his calls or messages. I'm dating an idiot. FML
Today, I sent my boyfriend a long and heartfelt message. He responded with "tl; dr". FML

I think people here are being unnecessarily critical of the OP. Who's to say she is needy or that she does this all the time. Just because the boyfriend might say that she does it often doesn't make it true. For all we know, it could have been like the second time and he got annoyed. Anyhow, no matter how annoyed he was, there are nicer and better ways to say that you would like your SO to stop, especially if he actually does lover her. His asshole remark makes this a FML instead of YDI...

I don't really blame him. I'd be annoyed to if I was your boyfriend and got a "why do you love me?" text. You should have called him to express how your feeling. People can't hear your tone of voice over texting. So through that method people can assume different things on what you're asking them.

both. look, we don't really know the exact circumstances. such questions are annoying and compliment-fishing, but he was out of line there. i'd have been like"baby, i love you, but if you want to know let's talk about it over the phone or meet somewhere. for all the sexism wars: here's the thing. #37 and others are just saying highly offensive shit to piss people off. when you see people like this, ignore them.
