Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, because I was the only manager scheduled, I went into work despite feeling sick to my stomach. While sitting down with a customer, I got the urge to throw up and tried to hold it back. Instead I vomited in my mouth, instinctively swallowed and started choking in front of the customer. FML
Today, I got to work feeling slightly unwell. A couple of hours later, an extremely attractive customer came to my till, at which point my body decided it would be a good idea to vomit last night's dinner all over myself and the customer. FML
Today, while at work, I started to feel sick to my stomach, hot, and dizzy. My co-worker told me to go home. On the way through the locker room to get my stuff, I experienced a dizzy spell so severe, I blacked out and pooped myself. No one in the building is going to let me forget this. FML
Today, I was feeling sick but went into my waitressing job because I'd already missed 3 days this week. I was dizzy and managed to spill a tray of drinks all over the customers. Then, when their food was done, I tripped and spilled hot chili all over the man's lap. FML
Today, my morning sickness got so bad that, while at the grocery store, I had to throw up in my purse. FML
Today, after feeling sick all day at work, my shift was about to end. Twenty minutes before I was able to clock out, some kid puked all over herself in the playground. FML
Today, at work, I felt a sudden, all-too-familiar pain in my stomach. I ran for the restroom, but before I could get there, I shat myself. I had to limp the rest of the way, then beg my boss to let me go home. He said no and told me to get back to work. FML
Today, while at work, I suddenly went into diabetic shock. As I was nearly passed out on the floor, a customer yelled at me for not getting his coffee in time. FML
Today, I was fired from the restaurant I work at because I missed my shift. I missed it because I was in the hospital for food poisoning from the meal I ate at work last night. FML
Today, I joked with my boss about calling in sick to work tomorrow with food poisoning to avoid taking the Sunday shift. Tonight, I'm sitting on the toilet bowl in agonizing pain with combination diarrhea and vomiting. My shift starts in 3 hours. FML

How can someone so attractive not be a people type person.

#13: I never realized physical characteristics were indicative of social disposition.

Did you look all of those words up in the dictionary before posting? Just a random remark designed to provoke a specific reaction and I got it. Helps me out with my studies.

The "I was trolling the whole time" card. Yes, of course. It gets them every time.

Considerate fellows aren't they? Quite a few in your town too?

It's pretty much any retail job there's people that think they're the damn Christ. Especially at big chains like Target (where I used to work) old women tried to get in my pants and old men wanted to kick my ass for literally no reason. People are sometimes just immensely stupid, but you should look up the psychology term "deindividuation", it sorta applies to these kinds of situations.

Just abuse that customer with vomit. It is guaranteed to stop the argument... or get you fired. If you are that sick try to tell your boss and either go home or use the restroom.

If you have to throw up, shouldn't you try and do that away from customers? My first thought would have been locked myself in the restroom.

Maybe they didn't have time to go to the restroom and once they started throwing up they couldn't stop? Or maybe they felt sick but thought they wouldn't throw up. But a restroom would have been preferable. Regardless, the customers have been very insensitive and just a bit silly thinking someone could help them when they are being sick. it makes me wonder if the customers did not realise OP was vomiting - though I am unsure of how they could miss it.

Yeah it'd be preferable but not always possible. One time my boss wouldn't let me leave work when I had a case of food poisoning so I threw up in a trash can for several hours until a regular customer of mine put in a complaint to help me out. Running to the bathroom all the way in the back of the store every few minutes just wasn't feasible. It was humiliating.
