Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I just had surgery and my wife finally wants to have sex. Not that there haven't been enough other days in the previous years of marriage… FML
Today, my wife lost interest in sex a long time ago. I’ve tried to reignite her interest lately, which culminated in an argument where she gave me permission to go out and shag other women. We might as well divorce at this point if she’s going to say things like that. FML
Today, my wife gave me the green light to have sex with other women. She beat the cancer, but sex for her is now painful and she wasn't really interested in sex the last 10 years anyway. So why does my life suck? Because I don't want sex with anyone else. Now she's mad at me for making her feel guilty. FML
Today, my wife always told me she loved sex too much to ever give it up. I don’t know what’s happened recently but she’s now angry for no reason, bitter at the world, makes me suffer just for existing, and yes, she’s cancelled all intimacy and sex for the foreseeable future. FML
Today, after my wife set a new rule to improve my health, one sex session for every three visits to the gym, which has greatly improved our sex life for two months, and I've never been fitter, but now she complains I'm not keeping her company on the couch anymore. FML
Today, it's been twelve years, seven months, and fifteen days since my wife has wanted sex. She was drunk. She no longer drinks. Guess my name is Job now and I have to be patient. FML
Today, my wife told me she had stopped taking her anti-depressants a month ago in hopes of increasing her non-existent sex drive. I asked her if it had helped, and was about to suggest she start taking them again for her own wellbeing. She replied with, "Anyway, I'm just not attracted to you." FML
Today, it's been so long since my wife has been interested in me intimately, I became aroused when a woman touched my arm while talking to me. FML
Today, after a 6 month dry spell, my husband was yet again “too tired” to have sex. I guess I finally found something I miss about my ex. FML
Today, my wife accused me of using her for sex. I'd only just admitted to her two days ago that I've been struggling to get it up to try and perform, after a hospital stay and a month of almost no sexual contact. FML
Feel like sharing it with the other FML users?

I have a friend in basically the same boat. He’s a great guy, but things have always been strained in the “romantic department” in their marriage and now it’s threatening his marriage. I’m sorry, I feel for you OP. You patiently took care of her for so long and now she’s not returning the favor now that things are better.

well it's time for a long discussion basically your choices are therapy for both of you or divorce cuz otherwise you're just going to live miserably for the rest of your life

Perhaps it may be time to look into alternative types of partnerships? My husband and I are polyamorous, meaning we have other partners, because he is much more reserved sexually. I am decidedly not. He is my main partner, and he has say so if he doesn't like any of my partners. Same with me. Becoming poly saved our relationship. That being said, it is definitely not for everyone, and needs a lot of thought and discussion and trust. Go to therapy with your wife and separate. And to the people saying "oh, he took care of her, now she's obligated to take care of him"... That's simply not true. If op took care of her simply for the return of sex, that would make op kind of a jerk. You never take care of someone expecting for a reciprocation, especially physically, you take care of them because you can. If reciprocation doesn't happen naturally, then discussion needs to happen. No one "owes" anyone anything.

Yeah, I know how this goes. Everyone supports her decision of course and she's empowered, but if you'd left her when she was sick, you would have been the asshole.

If she cheats on you, get proof, document everything and take her to the cleaners in the divorce.
