Today, two months after moving up to Scotland to be with my fiancé, he broke up with me because he 'didn't love me anymore and hadn't for a long time.' Shame he didn't tell me that when he was saying 'I love you, I want to marry you', having sex with me, and using my savings for a deposit on a flat. FML

Today, my boyfriend broke up with me because he has "commitment issues". He said he "cared" for me but didn't "love" me. He did this 30 minutes after we'd hooked up and said we loved each other. FML
Today, my boyfriend of 3 months decided to end our long-distance relationship out of the blue, because he "lost interest" and "our families don't approve" and "you deserve better than me" and "I'm holding you back." He took my heart and shattered against the wall. FML
Today, I went to my boyfriend's apartment to break up with him since he's always busy, and I haven't seen or spoke to him in almost 2 months. I arrived to find out from his landlord that he'd moved out 3 weeks ago, leaving a note saying that we were over. FML

Cool! I knew the first two lines (but not in the Scottish dialect), and thanks for adding the other two. I have friends that live on a street called Loch Lomond here in Houston. We seem to have a lot of Scotland in Texas.

I remembered it from my primary school days. I thought your final sentence was hinting at the song. Nothing happens by accident, hm?! On my one-time visit to the States I was amazed at the number if Scottish style pubs and street names. Although, the pubs lacked the sectarian violence that would make them truly 'authentic'. Very disappointing!
