The fact that you listened to him and agreed to go along with what he asked for suggests to me that you're open-minded, willing to communicate and pretty cool. The fact that he abused your trust and your good nature for a cheap joke is worrying, cruel and disrespectful. I won't say "Dump him" because I don't know what the rest of your relationship is like, but I'd say put him on thin ice if nothing else. Seriously? What an asshole. My advice: dump him. If I ever did something like that to my wife, she would have dumped me in a flash.
