Today, I found out why my 20 year-old girlfriend broke up with me. She was building everything she did to match her favorite TV show. The main character left her boyfriend in the exact way she left me. And the breakup email she sent me contained monologue from the TV show, word for word. FML

Today, I poured my heart out to my girlfriend with a serenade. After I finished, she told me she'd come over to tell me she'd found someone else and wanted to break up. FML
Today, my girlfriend of 3 years broke up with me by taping a breakup note to my doorstep and ding-dong-ditching me. FML
Today, as soon as I got home, my girlfriend was waiting for me at the door. She told me she was breaking up with me. The reason? She found a girl's shirt in my closet and that she didn't need a cheating boyfriend. That shirt was mine. FML
Today, my fiancée broke up with me. Via a myspace message. While we were in the same apartment. FML

You're lucky the character didn't intentionally get pregnant to trick the boyfriend into marriage! Run away now and be advised that most tv shows contain reconciliation story arcs.

This happened to me too, only for me the show was LOST. And I didn't find out till two years later, when I got into the show.
