Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my mother admitted to me that she sends me up and down the stairs to get things for her because she thinks I could use the exercise. FML
Today, I was yet again chastised for using a wheelchair, since, "Obesity isn't a disability." I'm 46 with lipedema, and lost my ability to walk 13 years ago. FML
Today, my parents bought me an alarm clock that runs away from you while beeping obnoxiously when you hit snooze. I just had ankle surgery and am unable to walk. FML
Today, my lazy, obese mother took the last motor cart at the grocery store. My leg is in a cast. She told me to "use the shopping cart to help with the limp" as she rolled away. FML
Today, it's my birthday. My mom got me a gym membership and a bunch of clothes that are a few sizes too small. FML
Today, I managed to break my ankle by running it over with the wheelchair I've used on a daily basis for the last 6 years. FML
Today, I found out my mother-in-law is trying to force me to lose weight, even though I am trying, and have a medical condition. FML
Today, I texted my mom if she could pick me up from the hospital. She replied, "No fatty, walk home." I have a broken foot. FML
Today, my mom is mad at me because, at her insistence, I got a company to install a stairlift for her due to the pain in her legs, and after buying it and getting it installed, it turns out she’s too obese for it. It can carry me and Dad, but with her it just makes a grinding noise and refuses to move. FML
Today, at my wedding, my grandmother special requested a wheelchair, even though she doesn’t and never has needed any kind of assistance walking or standing at all. FML

For her birthday send her mens clothing, like socks, boxer shorts shirts etc. but take out the labels and make sure they wouldn't fit her husband.

Sue her. it solves everything.

What would OP sue her for exactly?

He's just thinking he's funny. Pay him no mind.

I would say it's sarcasm but what exactly will he sue her for? being a monster-in-law?
TheCookieComet 23
Yes 32 it was sarcasm... no one on FML seems to understand what that is
SystemofaBlink41 27
It seems to be the upvote/downvote ratio... If there are a certain amount of downvotes, people choose to ignore the sarcasm.

yeah #44, it's like 'hey let's all jump on the downvote wagon and not have an opinion of our own.'

I actually thought your joke was funny, #46. But, whatever... FML seems to be pretty picky with its humor lately.

Wow what a bitch.

The only excuse for this is if the two of you have never met. If you have met, shame on her for sending something like that.
mif_fml 27
How often is it that you never meet your mother in law? Like not even at the wedding?
immaMonsta 8
We don't really know the situation. Maybe the person OP married has a bad relationship with their mother and didn't want their mother at the wedding.
juturnaamo 29
My husband didn't meet my mother until we'd been married about a year and a half. I was in the military and we eloped.
Eyeslick 33
For all we know she could have just married her dad and never met Op.

My sister in law hasn't met her mother in law, but that's because my brother and I have disowned her due to shit she pulled when we were growing up.

She probably doesn't know the difference between an odometer and a pedometer.

And the 2015 winner of the "Worst Mother-In-Law of the Year" award goes to this woman.

It's only February! Let's not jump to any conclusions! lol! Gotta give the other monsters-in-law a fair chance. ;P

OP should buy her some crutches for her birthday....
Stazza11 27
Or just send it back with a note saying that a speedometer and an electric motor would have been preferred. ^__^
Crypticedge 6
Take the pedometer to home Depot and leave it on the paint shaker. Send it back after it gets high enough and see what she says.
