Today, my lazy, obese mother took the last motor cart at the grocery store. My leg is in a cast. She told me to "use the shopping cart to help with the limp" as she rolled away. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I drove my dad to Walmart to do some shopping. His leg is still in a cast after an accident, so I helped him to the last mobility scooter. A guy whose only disability was clearly Fat-Fuck Syndrome then yelled at us, claiming he needed it more and that my dad was a faker. FML
Charming
Today, I texted my mom if she could pick me up from the hospital. She replied, "No fatty, walk home." I have a broken foot. FML
Today, I went to go use an automatic cart in Walmart because I broke my hip in January. They were all being used by morbidly obese people throughout the store. I asked a manager if she could get me one, but apparently their weight issues are more impeding than my broken hip. FML
Today, a nurse berated me for not being able to lift my leg myself so she could put a cast on. My leg is broken in two places. FML
Today, my mother admitted to me that she sends me up and down the stairs to get things for her because she thinks I could use the exercise. FML
Heavy load
Today, my mom is mad at me because, at her insistence, I got a company to install a stairlift for her due to the pain in her legs, and after buying it and getting it installed, it turns out she’s too obese for it. It can carry me and Dad, but with her it just makes a grinding noise and refuses to move. FML
Cart Narcs
Today, my mom yelled at me for trying to return a shopping cart to the cart corral. She then forced me to leave it in the parking lot. FML
Today, an old lady steamrolled over my foot with her wheelchair, then laughed as she slowly rolled away, leaving my toes in ruins. FML
Today, my bedridden mother called me selfish. After an operation two weeks ago, all I've done is feed her, clean her and the house every day. She called me selfish because I couldn't lift a TV into her room. FML
Mind your own business
Today, I had to explain to a lady at Walmart that my mom, who is rather big-boned, actually suffers from fibromyalgia and arthritis, which is why she has to use motor carts. She didn't believe us, and called my mom "selfish". This is a common occurrence. FML

this is why obesity shouldn't be accepted

As a fat person who is trying to get their life together, I completely agree.

True, but at least a skinny asshole is less likely to steal a motorized cart meant for disabled people.

Go back to the car or find a bench. Refuse to help with shopping or losing the groceries.

Obesity is not a disability, she shouldn't even be allowed to use it.

gotta love when the fatties take them (true you never know.... hidden disabilities ) and leave the true disabled (*ahem* /raises hand and every other disabled in the world) to suffer cause... exercise?

Obesity is not a disability and it should not ever be treated or accepted as one! Ugh. I can’t stand those kinds of people.

I mean, the obesity could be due to a thyroid issue. And could cause heart issues that prevent the person from being able to walk too much. Though I do agree that most obese people should not be considered disabled. In most cases, it was their choice.

I’m disabled, and I do not appreciate when anyone who can actually walk takes things that the disabled need just because it is convenient. However there’s a lot of fat shaming going on, which really isn’t cool. OP’s mother’s obesity doesn’t have anything to do with her being an asshole or taking the cart. Skinny people fake disabilities or are just plain lazy too.
