The nervousness wont go away just waiting. Try more foreplay, oral and even rubbing and caressing. Get used to touching eachother intimately. when you feel more comfortable with each other it will still be awkward but less stressful. Have fun with it. Laugh and try and make it a game and the nervousness will pass.

First off OP, you did the right thing by waiting. You'll remember your first time for as long as you live, make it special when you're 100% ready. Now as for you jokers saying that Pokemon, or ANY video game, is better than sex. I would REALLY like to know where you're getting whatever the freak you're all smoking. Either you're all bitter virgins, or you've only been with someone who's terrible. Sex IS the best thing in the world, IF you're ready and it's with the right person. Nothing makes you happier or makes you feel as close to the one you love a sex. So stop lying to her and yourselves.

See, this is why I don't get sexuals. Are you all like this or is it just a vocal group of asshats who think that sex is objectively the best thing in the world and objectively the only way to express love or closeness? It can't really be impossible for people to understand that there is no objective best anything in human relationships or experiences. Logic should tell you that much. Right? And if for some individuals playing games together is more enjoyable than intercourse, that's not a slam on those who prefer intercourse, nor does it mean that either the game playing or intercourse isn't being done properly if the values don't align with expectations. (No one ever says 'if sex is better than Pokemon you're playing Pokemon wrong' that I've seen, however,) So, educate me. People who experience sexual attraction. Is this attitude the default or what?

It's not a default attitude, per se. It's honestly just how I've naturally felt my entire life. I waited to have sex until I married my amazing wife, our wedding night was both of our first times. And I can safely say we both feel that sex is the way that we feel closest to each other. Now that's not the only way that we're intimate by any means. We read together and still date each other. We take time out to just spend quality time together. But sex, by far, my favorite thing to do with her and literally blows my mind. And yes, I'm still wildly attracted to her. I can't imagine not being able to make love with my wife, it's the most special part of our marriage. Does that answer your question?
