Today, I was eating at a restaurant with my boyfriend. He's 6'2 and I'm 4'11. Out of nowhere, the hostess started openly flirting with him, and asked him if he needed a booster chair for his daughter. FML

Today, I was working as a host at a pasta diner. The hostess I was working with was very attractive and we were flirting quite a bit. A large woman walked in to be seated, and I leaned over to her and dared her to ask the woman if she wanted two chairs. She leaned back and said, "That's my mom." FML
Today, someone thought I was my boyfriend's daughter, instead of his girlfriend. I'm 4'11", he's 6'2", and this has happened four times already. FML
Today, I was on a first date. I asked her what she brought to the table since I’m a pretty well established guy. A voice in the booth behind me yelled out, “How bout a booster seat, Smurf!” Everyone laughed so hard I got up and left. I’m 5ft3 and bitches always make it about my height. FML
Today, someone asked me if I was my boyfriend's little sister, just because of our height difference. He's 6'2", I'm 4'11", and this is the fifth time it has happened. FML
Today, I went to a restaurant with some friends. I noticed a very cute waitress about my age, so I walked over to her and asked if she had a boyfriend. The extremely fit, attractive waiter standing next to her immediately turned, held out his hand and goes, "Yeah. Meet me." FML
Today, I asked a girl at the restaurant I work at if she'd had enough to eat. When she said yes, I said, "Are you sure?" I didn't realize how insulting it sounded until her equally overweight mom was up in my face, demanding to see my manager. FML
Today, while waiting on a customer at a restaurant, I accidentally asked a midget if she'd like a children's menu. FML
Today, I went out to eat with friends. My crush was also at the restaurant with his friends. He smiled at me as I took a mouthful of food, and I choked. The waitress had to perform the Heimlich maneuver on me, while he and his friends fell off their chairs laughing. FML
Today, I went out to eat with my girlfriend. The waiter came up and was being nice. He said, "What can I get you two gentlemen?" FML
Today, I was out to dinner with a friend I had a crush on. The whole time, he was flirting with the waitress while I was trying to get him to notice me. When we got the check, he looked at her and said, "She's not my girlfriend, I only go out with pretty girls. So, can I have your number?" FML

He loves you. Ask yourself this. He is handsome enough for people to randomly flirt with. He is with you. This means you are very worth his time and his love. Be proud. Height is irrelevant.

Okay, first off: People dissing on shorter people and saying short girls need to not date tall guys - shut the **** UP! Do you have any idea how ignorant and totally idiotic you all sound? ******* imbeciles, my gods, who gives a damn how tall someone is? "Oh, I'm 5'9 and I can't find any tall guys to date because all the shorter girls have them, wahwahwah boo hoo, listen to me cry like a spoiled child!" You know... it isn't because the all the "tall" guys are being snapped up by "short" girls that you can't get a boyfriend. It's your putrid personality that drives you to make such insulting comments that make you unable to find a partner. Secondly: People cannot control how tall they are, yes you can get surgeries to extend your height or whatever, or you can wear heels, but honestly, is that really important? No, I do not think so. People being shorter than you or taller is highly unimportant. The fact that this girl is 4'11 in no way means she deserved the waitress making such an insulting comment. Thirdly: I am very sorry you had to be insulted in such a way, that is inexcusable. Though I must say, it was probably done on purpose. Females can be a bit... more cruel you could say, than males. Just try and ignore it and don't let it get to you, if it is getting to you. I personally think short girls are sexy, I prefer dating women shorter than myself. But then I am 5'4 so a height difference is never really prominent.

wow, some people here are kind of stupid, a LEGAL MIDGET is only 4' 9" and maybe the OP is not 18 yet, thus, they are not done growing. Not to mention if they have irish/scottish blood they will end up being short-er than average anyways. It all counts on heritage, the family's average height for women, and of course, their age. OP:: I feel your pain, my boyfriend is about 6 foot possibly a little higher, and I am 4' 11" plus a little smidgen, and I still get a kid's menu when I go places. it sucks.

okay kinda funny how I stumbled upon this scenario...my boyfriend's younger sister found this and asked if it was me, because the exact proportions relate to me and my boyfriend, except for the fact that we look nothing alike. But that hostess was definitely a B**ch with a capital B! Btw, he loves both my height and personality. I've heard every short joke in the book, but they mean nothing to me. My height just gives me the advantage to use tall people to reach things on the top shelf lol.

#74 and #76, you are exactly the kind of people I hate. You really disgust me. Have you ever heard the phrase "Love is universal"? You are some of the biggest (pun not intended but funny) bitches I've ever heard of. If you act like that all the time no wonder you can't get a guy, or at least a halfway decent one. No matter how a person looks it's whats on the inside that matters most (cliched but so very true). I'm most attracted to someone with a good personality and a kind and honest person.
