Today, I made a multiple choice exam so my friend could practice and get a good grade on his real exam. While I was helping him finish it, the teacher saw it, thought we were cheating and failed us both. FML

The teacher should have known though. It's easy to look at the practice test OP made and realize it wasn't the test intended to be used.

It's fairly common for students in school (especially tough schools) to steal copies of the exam ahead of time and memorize the answer sequence so they can get a perfect score.

Think of the teacher as your parent-- they probably didn't want to hear an explanation. The teacher should have been able to realize it, but the teacher may also not want to be wrong-- it's an unfortunate part of the education system.

Why didn't you show her your mini-test and have here compare it to the actual test. It'll show her how it is not the same test with the same exact questions and answers in the same order. And if she still fails you, go to the principal and confront the issue there.

I think if you show it to her and try to explain yourself she might realize what's actually happening. If not then go to the principal.
