Okayyy...now you know, for future reference - if a guy is ready to split you, or you ready to split him - you quietly hand him his trinkets, regardless of value. Not going to lie, this illustration is a bit over the edge with saying the grandmother committed suicide and that it was the girl's fault. =/ Suicide is really a strong subject to be messing around with.
I quite like the illustration, but I can't help but feel that the art is a little weird. The anatomy is quite off and looks sort of weird, plus the whole thing's been saved as a JPG, which really reduced the quality ._.
Still, it's better than some of the past illustrations

I don't like the illustration, it's very amateur-looking compared to many of the other ones, and the grammar is terrible. Never have I seen a comic that says "u" before...
I disagree with everyone who complains about the illustration. The drawing ITSELF is NOT bad. It's the script. This wasn't a proper fml to draw into a comic. It wasn't a funny fml, but a sad one.
And the words the author chose to use for something he shouldn't touch just made it worse.

Hmm, I'm not sure I love the illustration. Yes, it does look a little amateur, and yes it does have bad grammar, but that is not the reason why I dislike it. I don't like it because they changed the point of view and they made it a touchier subject than it bad to be. It's hard to make it comical when you feel bad about it.
I have more sympathy for your boyfriend. He should post an FML.

Today, me and my girlfriend had an argument. She lost her temper and threw the necklace I gave her out the window. It was then I decided to tell her that it belonged to my dead grandmother. It was from Wal-Mart. I think I won the argument. MLIA.
I find that the presentation is all over the place. Panel four should be textless, panels five and six should be one and seven should be taken out. Personally Id change the last panel to blank stares with the last word bubble floating through the window. I find the way the artist did this to be sloppy.
