Today, I felt really depressed so I decided to go to McDonald's, get a sundae and cheer myself up. I got pulled over by the cops on the way, and was given a ticket for an expired registration. McDonald's was closed. FML

I could quite easily be wrong here, and i'm not trying to be a Grammar Nazi, but why does Mcdonald's have the apostraphe in it? It might be normal grammar, but it's never seemed right to me :P.

It has the apostrophe because the McDonald brothers started the restaurant. The apostrophe indicates possession in this case.
