What a waste

By never be the same - 21/07/2022 19:00 - United States

Today, I realized just how much of my life I’ve wasted. I was always raised with the “What will people think?” ideology by religious zealots. The anxiety it gave me influenced everything from what I wore, to where I went, even what I studied in school. I wish I’d been strong enough to be myself. FML

As an individual who had their childhood ruined by religious zealots to where it was used as a precedence for future custody battles, it takes a lot of time to deprogram yourself from the BS Tripe shoveled down your gullet in those very influential and important defining years. I’ve been there, and one good friend I had at the time really helped, but even losing my virginity was a nightmare from all of it, even though I turned atheist by that time. It’s hard to not let the influence from your younger years keep damaging your psyche well after you thought you moved on. Over time, you’ll find yourself but I recommend having open minded friends that are not judgemental that can help you through this time. I’m not saying become an atheist, i’m saying, even if you stay religious, the right people can help you soul search for what you do (or don’t) believe in. When I let it all go, it was like being unburdened by shackles. It didn’t happen all at once, but I will admit, even as an atheist, I still try to do what I can to help others, being kind and defending the defenseless. I kept that part while shedding the toxicity behind a lot of the beliefs i was almost beaten into believing. Keep at it, it’ll work out!

The best time to start is ten years ago. The second best time is now. It’s never too late to turn things around.

It’s never too late. Start now to make your plans and work to become the person you want to be. But do not count on support from your nut-job parents if they are truly that. That means that your first step is figuring out how you are going to become self sufficient. It is not going to be easy, but you have had a revelation and the pointlessness and stupidity can stop. It’s not going to be easy, but life is usually long. You will have the time to become the person you want to become.

Not a good idea. You should try to be Ryan Seacrest. He has it right. Let's face it -- do you have any chance at bantering with Kelly Ripa and drinking coffee? No, we all can learn from Ryan and maybe achieve that pinnacle of humanity.

If you are aware of the situation, it is not too late!
