Today, the new manager at my workplace left early in a panic, exclaiming, "My grandma had an accident! I need to see if she's okay!" I was left in charge of the bar once again. This is the sixth time this week his grandma has had an "accident". FML

Either she's a little clumsy, or he is a bad manager, who probably thinks he's too good for the job. What ever way, he is a jerk - or a caring guy who loves his grandma :S

My friends' Mom has Alzheimer's and it's scary shit. She now is finally at a facility (which she was REALLY upset about going into) but before that it was constant nightmare and my friend was always on edge because you never knew what kind of an accident granny would get herself into. She might have been disoriented a lot so she could just fall down any time, and there were all sorts of issues and accidents. And to those who dismiss it with - oh just get a caretaker - it's not that easy and not that straightforward. Plus, even with a caretaker, things happen and then he'd be needed. I would give him the benefit of a doubt and offer help and support. Of course, if the situation persists, eventually he will have to make some choices.

"Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!" I can't be the only one who thought of this commercial.

You think someone's having a secret affair and gets sporadic booty calls?

Have a good friend discreetly follow your boss one of those days his grandma is "sick." See where he ends up.

Sounds like your boss is having more to drink than your patrons... Or maybe it's you...
