Today, I found out I have celiac disease. I also happen to be a baker and will be constantly reminded of all the wheat products I can no longer enjoy. FML

Today, I had a lovely gluten-free pizza out at a local restaurant. After I'd finished, they informed me it wasn't in fact gluten-free. I am Celiac and this means I will be ill for the next six weeks. FML

Today, I found out that I have a gluten allergy. What this basically means is that I can't eat anything with wheat in it; bread, pasta, cake, you name it. I am Italian, this basically limits me from eating any of the awesome food my family makes almost every night. Here I come plain rice. FML

Today, I learned I'm not allergic to gluten. My mom has kept me on a gluten-free diet since I was 5. She was convinced I was allergic to it. I'm 25 and I am writing this over my first slice of pizza in 20 years. FML

Today, I found out I'm going to be celebrating New Year's with a gastroscopy and colonoscopy. It's been two days since I discovered I'm gluten intolerant to go with my lactose intolerance. It's also my 28th birthday tomorrow. FML

Today, I had pizza for lunch, a cheesy burrito and cheese rice for dinner, topped off with a big bowl of ice cream. Three hours later, I puked it all up. I guess you never outgrow lactose intolerance. FML

Today, my husband and I found out that our daughter's chronic stomach aches are due to gluten intolerance, so we need to cut all wheat out of our diet. We're bakers. FML

Today, I told my mom that I think I'm lactose intolerant, and that I should go to the doctor to get checked out. She said that I was probably just gassy, and then ordered us a pizza for dinner. FML

Today, I've been staying with my parents while I have time off from school. They got drunk and started an entire family fight because my dad made pizza and my mom is lactose intolerant. She insists my dad did it on purpose because, "he's an asshole and knows I can't eat cheese." FML

Me too, dude. you cannot drink bud light, unless your condition is mild. I went through two years of eating shit, so here's some good brands: the best pasta is made by Tinkyada, find it at Whole Foods. the best bread will be homemade, so get a bread machine, and Pamela's is the best, buy online. the best cookie is homemade from cookie dough mix, 365 is the brand, at Whole Foods. pizza is iffy everywhere, there are no really good homemade brands, and restaurants are varied, I found amazing places where I live in Colorado, but can't help you much. Look at the bright side, it makes you a LOT healthier, although you're kind of FORCED to be. Good Luck.

I feel your pain! I've been a diagnosed Coeliac (that's how we spell it here in the UK) for 8 years. I was diagnosed on my 18th birthday (FML) It does get easier, I promise....

An autoimmune disease in which the sufferer cannot eat anything containing gluten (a protein found in wheat, rye, barley and other things) without their body releasing antibodies which cause damage to the intestines. There are many varied symptoms. most people don't know what it is, I didn't know till I was diagnosed.
