Today, my roommate read an article about unplugging appliances to save on electricity. Too bad the fucking moron also unplugged the fridge. We came home to a corpse-like stench and a fridge full of moldy food. We were gone for two weeks while the sludge marinated in the California heat. FML

Today, I got home an hour late from to find that my roommate had left the fridge open for the entire 8 hours. The kicker is that I was an hour late because I was at the grocery store, not buying the things that were getting ruined because I thought we had some. FML

Today, I found out that shutting off the heat in the rental property my parents owned was a bad idea. The water froze and the pipes burst, causing the whole kitchen ceiling to fall down. The water ruined the wood floors and the appliances. I turned off the heat to save money. FML

Today, I learned how to make my fridge colder. I felt that what it was set on felt a little warmer than normal, so I turned it down. Now everything in my fridge is frozen. FML

Today, during a storm-related power failure, I jerry-rigged an inverter from my car to supply the essentials. In doing so, I managed to blow up the fridge, smoke and all. The power came back on 5 minutes later. FML

Ok - yes your room mate is stupid for unplugging the fridge. However, you put "save" electricity in quotations, when it actually is proven that even when electronics - microwaves, toasters, lamps, computers, etc - still pull electricity out of the outlet they are plugged into even when they do not use. It seems to me as if both of you made idiotic decisions today - your room mate obviously for unplugging the fridge, and you for not educating yourself extensively enough to know that mocking someone for saving electricity this way makes you look like idiot! Have a good day

Make it easier on your roommate and suggest that you simply shut off all electricity to the house, thereby eliminating the power all together. Obviously they do not think food is important, so I'm sure you can live without the rest too. Go environment!
