I can't feel sorry for you because you knew he was still legally married, yet you planned your own wedding to him. The smart thing would have been to wait until his divorce was final, especially since you know him and know he's a procrastinator

Like everyone suggests, sign the official documents later. If you're trying to get photos of you both signing them then just sign a fake document or paper. No harm done

It's one thing to date a man in the process of getting a divorce (I was dating someone before my divorce was final, although we never have gotten married), but perhaps you should wait until the divorce is final before planning your wedding, especially if you know he's a procrastinator.

I agree with those saying to sign the papers later. You can have the reception on May 28, but just don't file them with the court yet. And make sure the date on those papers is after the finalized divorce.

Have the wedding, just have a friend perform the wedding as opposed to a legal officiant. Then when the divorce is final get married at city hall. Easily remedied, move on with your life.
