Today, my fiancé nervously sat me down for a "serious chat". The chat wound up with him asking if we could postpone our wedding, because his World of Warcraft guild had a raid scheduled for the same day. FML

Today, I went into labor and got my husband drive me to the hospital. Instead of staying by my side, he rushed back home for a World of Warcraft raid. His excuse? His friends were counting on him and they'd be pissed if he let them down. FML

Today, it was my 2 year anniversary with my boyfriend. As we were about to exchange gifts, he got a call and said he had to go home immediately. What was the emergency? His guild leader couldn't find another healer to finish a raid and promised my boyfriend gear if he would step up. FML

Today, I discovered that my fiancé had responded to an online missed connection posting. He has been emailing, exchanging pictures and making plans to go out with this girl. We are supposed to be married in the fall and just put down the non-refundable deposit on our reception site. FML

Honestly, if the date was just set and you hadn't sent out invitations or anything, I don't think it's THAT bad. However, if everyone knew the date already, then yeah, he has a bit of a problem if he's still willing to postpone it.

maybe he's just nervous and couldn't think of another way of postponing the wedding, still a poor reason. I play WOW but it's not good enough to put my real life aside

my hubby and I play together to get out of the "real world" but that's really taking it over! if the game means that much to him. let him have it. he can marry some girl on the game cause you can do that.

Not responsible! He should have posted his leave as soon as he found out he was getting married. Or if you've had a date set for a year or more, he should have posted with about 2 or 3 months advance, if his guild is that hardcore. Any raiding or semi-casual raiding guild with less than a 1/3 a brain has a MIA section He can moan and complain and make excuses all he wants, something doesn't add up. And if this is a new guild, and they can't cut some slack- be prepared to never have any time with him MWF or T-TH-SAT or whatever 3+ days they have scheduled.
