Today, for the fifth time in a row, I woke up screaming from a nightmare. My mother burst into my room, leaned in real close and said, "So help me God, if you do not stop fucking screaming, I will rip your arms off and beat you with them." I’m never sleeping again. FML

Today, my mother took a bunch of sleeping pills, then went driving. I followed her and dialed 911. Now she thinks that I was "trying to get her arrested," and she refuses to talk to me ever again. FML

Today, I woke up sweating and gasping for air after having a terrible nightmare. The nightmare involved my deceased mother-in-law bitching me out for being a bad influence on her daughter and threatening to cut my nuts off. Even in death, she won't leave me be. FML

Today, I had yet another dream in which my mother and I had a sweet conversation, followed by her hugging me, and telling me she loves me. Then I woke up and remembered that my once-loving mother hasn’t spoken to me in five years, and her last words to me were, "I hope you die in a fire." FML

Yknow I don't really think it's that bad. It was just a dream. Maybe your dad was joking. Maybe it was a situation like #8 said. "DON'T TAKE ME (TO DISNEYLAND)! TAKE MY CHILDREN!" right? riiiight? I'm way too positive. Don't think it's an FYL or YDI though.. So what do I choose in these types of situations..?

it could have been a good situation, like other people have said, but even if it's not, don't read too much into it. i've had plenty of dreams which have no relation to things i would actually do, and don't say it's just subconscious or something. if you read a book or see a movie you can dream about it without it being a reflection of your subconscious desires... it's just a dream

your dad was probably just kidding, of course he was, since it is against all instincts for her to say that ! plus you don't know what context its in, maybe its to take them away to save them lets say she was in a building on fire with you kids and the firefighters couldnt take you all...just providing an example
