Today, my dad agreed to let me borrow the car to go rock climbing with my friends. He'd just filled it up with gas, which is how I realized halfway back home that one of my "friends" had siphoned well over half the gas straight out of the tank. FML

I hope you made him walk if he was in the car with you.

Is it possible that OP drove far enough to explain the missing fuel?

In Hawaii I'm paying over $4.50. Don't complain about gas prices unless you pay that or more (like in other countries). On Kauai it was well over $5 when I was visiting

so you went rock climbing. which I am assuming is a fair distance out of town unless you live in the Rockies, the alps, or other such areas of the world. and you think your friend siphoned gas out of your tank because you used a lot of gas?. either you are very stupid or you dont know how gas works. (which makes you very stupid)

To #77, HOW would they be in the car with op if they siphoned the gas?? How would that even make sense?

Lockable fuel tanks, anyone? Or did these go out of fashion when they put the opening lever next to the driver?

Run the car until it runs out of gas, then proceed in punching your friend in the nuts... Or just punch em in the nuts....

Whoever did that doesn't like or respect you. Bottomline whoever had a vehicle is suspect. In the future I would avoid doing things with that group of "friends."

I hear cars really suck at rock climbing.

a common misconception, its all about technique see what you gotta do is drive as fast as you can at the steepest cliff, then when your as close as possible to the wall you have to take off your seat belt and put your teeth against the steering wheel and the rest will be a piece of cake

Hold a lighter up to their mouth and see which one did it. Haha
