Today, my car ran out of gas. I was 20 feet away from the gas pump and the only person I could ask for help was the attendant, who'd asked me out a week ago. I'd said no, and so did he. FML

Today, I stopped by the gas station. As I was filling up I noticed a cute guy at the pump next to me. When I was done, I gave him a wink before opening my car door. It was locked. I had to call my Dad to bring my spare keys. The guy was laughing the whole time as I waited for my Dad to show up. FML

Today, in an effort to conserve gas by using as much of the gas in my tank before refilling it, I ran out just before I could get to the gas station. Nobody can come bring me any. FML

Today, after I had filled up my car and got into it I saw a cute guy running towards me. I flashed a smile and left the door open and said, "Hey" when he was next to me. He said, "The pump is still attached to your car, you really should be more careful." FML

Today, I picked up my car from the repair shop, drove two miles, and ran out of gas. I then walked to get gas, put a gallon of gas in the car, and tried to start it. The battery was too weak to start the car, and died on the spot. FML

Today, I was out with my youngest cousin and we had to stop for gas. Since he just got his license, I asked if he wanted to pump the gas while I went into the station to get snacks and pay. He pumped my car full of diesel. FML

Today, I was sent to a customer's house to switch out a washing machine. My boss had assured me that everything I'd need was already in the truck. Halfway there, I ran out of gas and I realized I didn't have the gas card. My boss says it's my fault. FML

20 feet? really. you can't push the car just 20 feet? + it's not the job that defines you ( although you probably shouldn't work at the pump for the rest of your life)

I'm pretty sure his job wasn't "helping people push their cars" besides if he was alone he can't leave the place because someone could steal something while he is away

he pumps gas for a living, meaning he's already outside. what are they gonna do - steal the nozzle. I'm sure management would be more pissed to hear that people won't go go his place of business because of bad business.

He was the petrol station attendant, that doesn't always mean he actually pumps the gas.. He could be running the cash register. I doubt that he couldn't leave though otherwise this isn't really an FML

I hate how people are so immature. Why do you have to be an ass hole to someone that said no to dating you, they can't help that they're not attracted to you. That doesn't mean that you need to be a dick and not help a lady out to push her car.

You can drive a car a fair distance on the starter motor (yards not miles) - engage first and then turn the key. It will jolt but move perfectly well. No question that you could drive 20 feet. Just don't go so far you drain the battery or it won't start once you put your gas in!
