Today, I told my roommates they have to go get jobs, because I can't afford to support them or their bad habits any more. They responded by pawning all my DVDs for cash to buy cigarettes. FML

Today, I stayed with a friend because I was recently kicked out of my home and had nowhere to go. When I went out for job applications, she asked, "Can you pick me up a pack of smokes?" and then got mad that I didn't have the money, calling me selfish. FML

Today, my roommates sat me down and said we need to have a serious chat. I was worried, until they asked me if I could quit my new night job. When I asked why, they said it was because I wasn't home anymore to cook them dinner. FML

Today, my roommate wants to kick me out because I can't afford to pay my share of the rent this month. I couldn't afford to, because I had to pay for repairs to my car after my roommate got drunk, stole my keys, and crashed it into a street light. FML

As soon as you find another place to live, you should move out without warning them and cancel the utilities (I'm assuming they're in your name, since you sound like the only responsible one) also without warning them. Then cut off all contact with these losers. They'll either have to take responsibility for themselves, or they'll crash and burn without their enabler. Either way, you win. In the meantime, put a lock on your bedroom door and don't keep any belongings in common areas.
